My perfume collection

perfume-collection

So, after showing you my eyeshadow palette collection, I think it’s about time to talk about my other beauty addiction, which is perfumes. Now, I don’t have any high end perfumes, unfortunately, although I plan on getting one for my birthday soon, so my small perfume collection consists of drugstore perfumes, mostly of them from the brand Yves Rocher. I like their perfumes and they always have such good deals, so…

Without further dragging it along, here are all the perfumes I currently have in my collection.

comme-une-evidence-perfume

Comme Une Evidence by Yves Rocher

Top notes – rhubarb and violet leaf

Middle notes – Lily-of-the-Valley and rose

Base notes – patchouli, musk, oakmoss

This is a staple perfume for Yves Rocher. It’s actually my mom’s favorite, but I received this one last year for my birthday and I kept it, because I always appreciate all the gifts I received. It’s a clean, light, neutral perfume. Not too aggressive, not to sweet, just floral and elegant. You can basically wear it anytime you want. Not that I would known when to ear a perfume,  usually apply them according to the mood I’m in, not because of the season, or if it’s day or night.

quelques-notes-damour

Quelques Notes D’amour by Yves Rocher

Top notes – Cassis

Middle notes – Damask rose

Base notes – Cedar and ambrette

This one is my favorite drugstore perfume. I like rose perfumes, but not the ones that are intoxicating or overly sweet, so I fell like those who have Damask rose in it smell nicer than the ones that have Bulgarian Rose. At least this is my impression. It’s also a floral perfume, I just like these types of perfumes the most. I also like Moment de Bonheur, also from Yves Rocher, and also a rose-based perfume, but this one is my favorite.

jet-femme-holiday

Jet Femme Holiday by Avon

Top notes – Bergamot, litchi and green notes

Middle notes – Jasmine, African orange flower and sea water

Base notes – Virginia cedar, fig tree, teak wood

If I’m being honest, this is my least favorite perfume from my collection, but it was also a gift, so I use it, but I certainly wouldn’t repurchase it. It’s too woody for my taste and I guess it’s supposed to be fresh, but to me it’s almost masculine in a way and I’m not a fan of that.

keep-crazy-and-love-on-perfume

Keep Crazy And Love On by Push Cosmetics

This is a perfume made in by a German cosmetic company that I think is exclusive to Douglas stores. I bought when they recently had a big summer sale because it was cheap, pink and I guessed it was going to be something sweet and fruity. I was right on that. Of course, it doesn’t have much lasting power, but to spritz it on when you just want to have a hint of something on you it does the trick. I don’t know what it’s supposed to smell like, but it’s definitely a girly perfume, targeted towards  young girls.

monoi-eau-des-vahines

Monoi Eau des Vahines by Yves Rocher

Notes – Ylang-Ylang, vanilla, coconut and tiare flower

I love the scent of the tiare flower, so I think I own everything Yves Rocher has put out with this smell. I only have a small purse bottle version of this perfume, but I love it so much, especially for the summer. I don’t know how to describe the scent of the tiare flower if you don’t know it smells, but for me it smell like a blend between something flowery, something sweet and something delicious.

monoi-body-spray

Monoi by Yves Rocher

Notes – Tiare flower and coconut

I forgot to include this body spray in the group pictures. This is just a perfumed body spray and it doesn’t last as long as I would like to, but it has the scent of tiare flower that I like so much and I love to use it in combination with the body wash and body oil from the same Monoi line.

chloe-perfume

Chloe by Chloe

Top notes – Mandarin orange, watermelon and pink pepper

Middle notes – Freesia and rose

Base notes – Iris, sandalwood and tonka bean

I received this deluxe sample in one of the Marie Claire Beauty Kits and I fell in love with this perfume. Granted, I’m not experienced with high end perfumes, but I’ve had some Lancome, some Estee Lauder, Chanel or Guess perfumes in the best, so I know that expensive perfumes usually have a more complex scent and great lasting power. Chloe is the perfect blend between floral and fruity, the two scent categories that I like, so for me it’s a winner and I certainly would like to purchase a full size bottle someday.

ari-perfume

Ari by Ariana Grande

Top notes – Pear, grapefruit and raspberry

Middle notes – Lily-of-the-Valley, rose and vanilla orchid

Base notes – Musk, woody notes and marshmallow

This cute deluxe sample came in last year’s Douglas advent calendar. It’s a fun, pink and girly perfume, just like you would expect it to be from the packaging. It’s fruity and sweet. I don’t love and I don’t hate it. It’s something I will use because I have it, but it didn’t make me go out to buy the full size.

terre-de-lumiere

Terre de Lumiere by L’Occitane en Provence

Top notes – Bergamot, ambrette and pink pepper

Middle notes – Honey and lavender

Base notes – musk, acacia, bitter almond and tonka bean

This is my second sample size of this perfume, because I received both in beauty boxes. It’s a sweet perfume, the almond being what I noticed the most when I used it. It’s a little bit too sweet for my liking, but I wouldn’t say it’s like sickening sweet. It’s just not my cup of tea.

kimitsu-rollerball

Kimitsu by Annyake

Top notes – Bergamot, pear, rose and tuberose

Middle notes – Red berries, pink pepper and orange blossom

Base notes – Amber, patchouli, musk and vanilla

This was also a gift from the Douglas advent calendar, a roller ball version of the Kimitsu perfume. Although it’s described as an Oriental perfume, for me it’s more fresh and citrusy. I don’t hate it, but I also don’t love. It does have an interesting scent, I give it that, but it’s not something that I would wear on regular basis.

So there you have it, this is my small collection of perfumes. I didn’t include the small samples I have, like those 1 ml bottles, but I will touch on some of those because I ordered 4 small samples from Bottega Verde to see if and which of their perfumes I would like to buy.
