Venus Perfect Face Care Beauty Detox Daily Cream

I wasn’t sure I was going to write about this face cream because as far as I can tell it may be discontinued. I bought it on sale from Douglas at a crazy low price, so I’m guessing it will no longer sold. However, I decided that it’s still worth mentioning it on my blog, because the brand does have other products and maybe I will try some more of their stuff. Usually, the price of this cream is around 13 euros, but now it was on sale for around 5 euros and let me tell you it may be cheap, but it does a great job.

Venus Perfect Face Care is a house brand of Douglas stores. The products are made in Italy and are based on minerals and vitamins of natural origin to enhance natural beauty, based on the principles of Venetian skin care since Renaissance times. Or at least, that’s the story of the brand.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t fall for the whole detox claims on any beauty products, because you can’t detox your body or you skin by using a cream, you just can’t. However, I did notice that this face cream is very soothing and calming and it helps to reduce redness. It also leaves my skin smooth and plump, without being too greasy, but it provides enough hydration. The most common problem I have with skin care for my combination skin is that it’s either too light and my nose and the mouth area is too dry, or it has a rich texture that makes me shiny like a disco ball. This detox cream seems to be the perfect combination, because my skin doesn’t feel dry where it usually is and it’s not becoming oily where there are usually no problem areas.

The packaging is very nice. I can’t tell if it’s a glass jar or just a sturdier plastic one, but it does feel like high end skin care. The cream itself is plain white, it has a common texture, not to liquidy and not too thick and a slight scent, but I can’t put my finger on it what it is. The scent is not persistent, so it shouldn’t bother anyone.

This is not an all around natural face cream, but it does contain some natural ingredients such as aloe leaf juice, green tea extract, hibiscus flower extract, dog rose fruit extract – I have no idea what that is and wild pansy extract.

The final question is if I would continue to use this cream once I’m out of it. The answers is sure, but if I do find it again on sale, because I’m not paying more than 10 euros for a face cream, that’s my hard limit since I’ going fast through them.

My rating is 4/5 ♥♥♥♥
