Yves Rocher Elixir Jeunesse review

yves rocher elixir jeunesse

Lately, I’ve been on a kick of using detox and anti-pollution products for my skin, because I feel like it really does do something for my skin to use something rich in antioxidants and vitamins and all the good stuff. Now for about 2 weeks, I’ve been using a couple of products from the Elixir Jeunesse line so let me tell you what I think about them.

elixir jeunesse city detox liquid day care

Elixir Jeunesse City Detox Liquid Day Care

This product comes in a nice green bottle but I would have preferred that it had a cap. The bottle has one of those twist caps to open and close. It’s supposed to have a gel texture, but honestly, it’s just a clear liquid, similar to a serum you apply before a moisturizer, so I think that’s how it’s supposed to be used. So far, I used it only on its own, but I feel like I need more hydration, because, like I said, it looks and feels like a serum.

The ingredient list is quite nice. 93% of the ingredients are of natural origin. It contains Aphloia extract and Moringa seed extract from an Indian supplier. It doesn’t contain mineral oils, silicone or colorants and it’s a vegan product.

As far as the effects on the skin, I can’t say that I see something special like my skin looks amazing, but it makes it feel plump and hydrated. A bottle contains 50 ml and it’s a little more expensive around 14 euros, but I got it at a discounted price because I placed a larger order with Yves Rocher. I do like it and I will continue to use it, but it’s not something that makes me want to keep repurchasing it.

elixir jeunesse daily exfoliant cleanser

Elixir Jeunesse Daily Exfoliating Cleanser

My problem with exfoliating cleansers, although they are good for acne prone skin, is that most of them are too harsh to be used daily. Luckily, this cleanser is gentle enough to be used daily. It removes all face makeup efficiently and I think it helps remove dead skin cells, but it’s not too abrasive.

This cleanser comes in a 125 ml tube and it contains more than 98% ingredients from natural origin, including natural Alphoia extract. On the tube, it says to use it only once a day, so that’s what I do. I use it in the evening and in the morning I just use some thermal water to remove any impurities left and to freshen up the skin.

I don’t remember the exact price for the cleanser because I got it for free because I bought the City Detox product, but I would repurchase it again if I find it at a good price when I place my next Yves Rocher order.

So overall, the Elixir Jeunesse made a good impression on me and I think it’s something that people with sensitive skin should try out.
