Like I predicted, it was a very slow month, because everyone focused on releasing all kinds of holidays gift sets and it would have taken ages to go through everything. So, there are only a few things that really caught my eye.

Givenchy holiday collection
It’s something about the packaging and the presentation that really makes me want to try some Givenchy products, although I don’t know when I’ll be able to a afford them. What got me interested was the Le Rouge lipstick in the beautiful holiday packaging and the Mystic Glow Powder, that can be used wet and dry as an eyeshadow or as a highlighter for the face. I think it looks gorgeous.

Smashbox Holidaze collection
I really don’t like that bright colored packaging, so I probably wouldn’t buy something from the collection anyway. They have a lipstick set, a liquid lipstick set, a contour kit, a brush set, an eyeliner set, a metallic liquid lipstick and a couple of other things. Nothing that really sparks my interest.

Essence de Roumanie perfumes by Elysee
I have to say I’m so happy to see perfumes created by Roumanians for Roumanians – and not only, of course. Elysee is a high-end perfume boutique in Bucharest and now they created their own perfumes under the brand Essence de Roumanie. They have released two perfumes, one for women and one for men, in cute but simple bottles. They’re a bit expensive for me to buy, but I’m definitely interested.
The perfume for women is called IA. The ia is a Romanian blouse from the folklore attire, usually white and stitched or embroidered with all kinds of colorful motifs or just with black motifs. It really is beautiful and very representative for the Romanian culture. The perfume is a floral-fruity one as far as I can tell from the description.
The perfume for men is called ROMAN, and it has wood and leather notes, to be natural and masculine at the same time.

Douglas Candy Puff Powder Blush
This is a Douglas-heavy post simply because they’re the only ones who launched some new things this month as other beauty stores were focused mainly on gift sets and bundles.
The blush looks very pretty and has that slightly vintage vibe to it. Online I saw only 3 shades, a pink, a coral and a red one. It’s cute so who knows, I might pick it up sometime.

e.l.f. cosmetics sold now in Douglas stores
This is not exactly a beauty launch, but we got a few new brands in Douglas stores. e.l.f. was available so far only online through a store which I don’t know if it was an official store or not. Now, they have them at Douglas as well, but they have more products. On the other hand, the disadvantage is that Douglas has marked up the prices significantly, so e.l.f. products are more expensive than other drugstore brands which is crazy to me because I know how affordable they are in the US.

Jo Malone perfumes now in Douglas stores
Another new brand to Douglas is Jo Malone. I know about their perfumes but they’re certainly out of my price range. I never had at least a tester from a Jo Malone perfume so I don’t know if it’s something that I would like.

Oh K! face masks now in Douglas stores
Finally, another new brand in Douglas stores is Oh K!, mainly with their sheet masks. They seem like fun, although they’re also a little expensive. I mean, I wouldn’t pay more than 10 euros just for one mask, but that’s just me.

Catrice Glitter Storm Limited Edition
For the New Year’s parties, Catrice came out with a metallic eyeshadow palette, a jelly highlighter, some liquid glitter eyeliners and liquid lipsticks that were supposed to be those that are shimmery and turn into glitter if you press your lips together. I was excited about those and wanted to get a couple of shades, but I saw some reviews and these are more metallic not glittery and I hate how metallic lipsticks look on me.

Revolution X The Emily Edit – The Needs Eyeshadow Palette
I really like Emily Noel on YouTube but this eyeshadow palette is sold at a too high price for what it is, at least here. I mean, I won’t pay more than 10 euros for an eyeshadow palette because I know the quality of Revolution Beauty products and they’re just mediocre, at least in my opinion. It’s nice, it has some face powders and neutral shades, it would be perfect for work but Revolution palettes are usually hit and misses, depending on what you get.

I Heart Revolution Chocolate Eyeshadow Palette – Cotton Candy
I want this because the chocolate palettes are so cute and I like the two I already have. Plus, the color scheme with those browns and pastel shades is very appealing to me. Unfortunately, my bank account is empty for now until my next paycheck, but I might actually get this if it’s still available here in a couple of weeks. The Macaroons palette is also available, but I don’t like that one as much as this one.
These were the most important launches for December, I’m excited to see what 2019 has in store for us. I hope you all have a wonderful year, full of joy and happiness. Talk to you soon.
