Used-up and tested #5 – beauty products leaving my collection

For those of you who are new to my blog, this series is about products that I’ve used up and weren’t that exciting enough to write a separate blog post about and some samples I’ve been using. Without further ramblings, these are some of the products I’ve been using up during the last month or so.

Avene Thermal Spring Water

I discovered last year my love for thermal waters and I bought this big 300 ml bottle last August and it has lasted me until now. It’s soothing and suitable for sensitive skin as well and I really liked using it just to refresh my skin in the morning. The only negative thing I can say about this thermal water is that the sprayer started to squirt too much product when I was halfway through it. Other than that, it’s a great product if you love thermal waters and I think I got plenty of use out of it. This big bottle was around 10 euros, but it has lasted me for about 6 months so it was definitely worth it.

Balea Sudseeliebe cream bath foam

This is another Balea product that I enjoyed using because I love to take a long warm foam bath when I want to relax. This large 750 ml bottle had a very affordable price. I think I bought it for around 2,5 euros and it had a nice scent, some papaya mixed in with some floral scents as well. I would say it had definitely a more summery smell to it, but I liked using it anyway during the winter as well.

e.l.f. Beautifully Bare face palette

This was actually a good product at first. It has one bronzer, two blushes and one highlighter, all powders. This palette is something for those who like more natural, subtle looks, which I tend to gravitate towards, especially regarding my face products. Unfortunately, I think the powders did get too old and they barely showed up on the face anymore, especially the highlighters, plus it seemed they were already gone after a couple of hours. So I decided to throw what’s left away because there’s no point in using a product that definitely doesn’t perform well anymore. Regardless, I think the palette was very nice at first.

Freedom Makeup mono eyeshadow

Freedom is a brand that was discontinued by Revolution beauty and I can’t say I blame them because the products are really not that great. I had this eyeshadow in the shade Gilded 216 and I remember it was very cheap – probably 1 euro, but it was awful. I thought it would be a shimmery pink, my favorite color, but it was just a glittery mess that always creased on my eyelid. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and once I’ve hit pan on it I decided it’s time to finally throw this thing in the garbage.

Balea face masks

I used some new (to me) Balea face masks recently as I love their masks. They all come in packs of two and usually, they’re priced between 1 and 3 euros, depending on the type of mask.

My least favorite one was the Time to Glow face mask, with algae extract because it was a very thick peel-off mask that honestly was a little painful to remove.

The Sugar Scrub was not exactly a mask, but a sugar scrub with chia seeds, that I liked because it wasn’t too harsh on the skin.

Finally, the Pearl & Glow face mask was an illuminating face mask with pearl extract which was very nice to use, especially because it was shimmery and it looked cool when applied.

These are all the beauty products I’ve used up lately, we’ll talk in my next used up products round-up.
