New beauty launches for February 2019

Since February is the month when many people celebrate Valentine’s Day, there have been quite some new perfume launches and a few of them sparked my interest, as well as some other interesting new products.

Too Faced Pretty Rich Diamond Light Palette

Too Faced sometimes comes out with something that becomes an instant hit and other times it’s just….meh. This palette is in the latter category. The colors are nothing too special and those diamond shaped glitter gels or whatever they are are not worth it to buy the palette.

Lancome Monsieur Big Valentines Edition Mascara

Since Monsieur Big was probably a bestseller for Lancome, they came out with this cute pink packaging for it, just in time for Valentine’s Day. I’m really tempted to splurge on this one, but on the other hand, I keep thinking – but my drugstore mascaras are soooo good.

Sheer EDT by Tiffany & Co.

I don’t know why Tiffany’s perfumes are so expensive, probably just because of the name. I didn’t have the opportunity to smell one of their perfumes, but now they came out with a new addition to their collection, called Sheer. It has notes of iris, musk, rose, Ylang-Ylang, blackcurrant, tangerine leaves, and other floral notes.

Unexpected Beauty LE spring collection by Pupa Milano

unexpected beauty collection

Pupa launched its spring mini-collection which consists of 3 single glittery eyeshadows (top coats), 3 glitter nail polishes, 1 lip scrub, 3 lip glosses, and 1 highlighter. The colors are nothing new, I think most people buy these because they love the brand and collect them – like I do with some of the limited edition essence products, or they like the cute packaging.

Catrice Glow Patrol LE

I have this weird thing with Catrice. I always say I want to try some stuff from this brand because it’s a sister brand from essence, but I never seem to get around to do so. Their latest limited edition collection is called Glow Patrol and it’s available from February until April 2019. The collection contains a lip scrub, 3 glowy highlighters, 3 glowy lip boosters, a highlighter brush, a powder brush (both golden), and a Pure Radiance Glowrizer (a glowy primer). I would like to try all of the products, except for the lip scrub, but since they’re not something that I really need I will refrain from buying something this month.

NYX Candy Slip Glowy Lip Color

These liquid lipsticks come in various fun colors and I’m always tempted to buy something from this brand because from what I know their lip products are much better than the eyeshadows. However, I never wear bright colors on my lips so it wouldn’t be a good idea to choose something from this collection. It looks cool thou.

Lancome L’Absolu Rouge Valentine’s Edition

I know this is just Lancome’s regular L’Absolu Rouge lipstick, but just look at that cute packaging! That’s really all I have to say about it.

Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Plump-in-Colour lipstick

That little black heart in the middle contains mint oil for the plumping effect. I want this and I’m not even into plumping lip products.

Maybelline X Puma LE collection

I’m not exactly a fan of collab collections between brands, but I do like Puma’s aesthetic and their products as well, so this limited edition collection seems nice. The prices are also similar to the regular Maybelline products at least here in Romania. Unfortunately, I didn’t see the highlighter, just the liquid lipsticks, the duo face stick, the mascara, and the eye duo stick. Although the packaging is cute, I’ll probably won’t buy anything from the collection.

I Heart Revolution One True Love eyeshadow palette

This pink palette looks so cute and I would totally be down for it because I like the color scheme but unfortunately, I’m not the biggest fan of their eyeshadow formula and I decided not to add further Revolution palettes to my collection.

Pupa Milano Beauty Touch stick foundation

I like the finish of stick foundations, but they usually contain less product than regular foundations and that’s why you’re probably out of it sooner. The shade variety is also not large, as it’s available in only 6 shades.

Zoeva Voyager Spice of Life eyeshadow palette

I really like my little Zoeva Voyager palette so I want to add more to my collection. I think I’ll treat myself to this one this month.

Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Lolli’Glow Spring Look LE

5-couleurs-eyeshadow-lolliglow-spring-look

I know I can’t afford Dior makeup, but those little eyeshadow palettes are always appealing to me, and this cute limited edition collection makes no exception. I don’t know how many options there are because in our Sephora I saw only two – Sugar Shade and Mellow Shade.

Pupa Milano Vamp! All in One mascara

VampMascaraALLINONE

This mascara promises to curl, lengthen and add volume to the lashes. Honestly, I feel like all mascaras should do these things and it shouldn’t be regarded as a novelty, but what do I know?

These are some of the most important beauty launches for the month of February. It’s a short month and there wasn’t much exciting news, but let’s see what March brings around the corner.

P.S. I’m sorry for my lack of posts, but I’m dealing with some busy schedules and some health issues that make me be not in the mood for writing.
