This mascara is one of the staple products for Yves Rocher, and it’s also available in other variants as well. I got this one before Christmas hence the special snowflake packaging, and now I’m almost out of it.
At first, I was skeptic about the wand because I thought it was a little too big, but the shape of it makes it easy to apply the mascara even in the inner and outer corners of the eye. The formula contains natural charcoal, which gives it that extra black color and I like how it looks – natural and deep black at the same time.

It has a more liquid consistency, so it doesn’t clump the lashes and it doesn’t make them look like spider legs. I have nothing against more clumpy mascaras, but I also like a more defined and natural look. It’s both lengthening and volumizing, although I think the lengthening effect is better. It’s not waterproof, at least not the classic formula, but I didn’t have any issues when my eyes were a little watery, usually in the morning.
Overall, I think it’s a good mascara, but I wouldn’t say it’s my all time favorite mascara. It’s not the most affordable one and there are other cheaper alternatives that work as well as this one. Perhaps it’s a suitable option for those with sensitive eyes due to its partially natural ingredients but I can’t say more on that because my eyes are not particularly sensitive.
I would say it’s a good purchase when it’s on sale or when they have other promotions such as buy one get one for free or in combination with other products.
