It was the first month of spring, but I can’t say I really felt it because it was mostly cold and we had some bad weather. At least, there were some interesting beauty launches this month.

Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream

I’ve heard so many good things about these Sol de Janeiro creams but I just can’t bring myself to spend so much money on basically a body lotion. This is supposed to be the new cream with coconut scent I think, but from what I’ve read online, the scent is not so pleasant.

Urban Decay Naked Reloaded eyeshadow palette

I was never a fan of the Naked line or of Urban Decay in particular so for me this palette is not exciting but I mention it because I saw it got many people in the beauty community to talk about it.

Lancome La Vie Est Belle Absolu Rouge

The La Vie Est Belle family just got a new member, this time in the form of a lipstick. While I’m still curious to try their formula, I still wouldn’t pay so much for a lipstick.

Too Faced Diamond Multi-Use Highlighter

The packaging is cool as always with Too Faced, but the reviews were not that great so I’m not really tempted to buy it.

Winky Lux Royal Kitten eyeshadow palette

This one is more expensive than the previous Winky Lux palettes I was at our Sephora and I don’t know if it’s because of the formula or what. I so want to try this brand but honestly, I need another eyeshadow palette like I need a hole in the head so I don’t think I will be picking something up unless it’s on sale or something.

Amber Valetta Makeup Capsule Collection

I know who Amber Valetta is but I can’t say that I’m a particular fan of her style or something and this capsule collection doesn’t bring something new to the table. It consist of a blush stick, a highlighter stick, a mascara, a blur compact powder, a cream eyeshadow, and a lipstick. The packaging looks nice but the prices are somewhere in between drugstore and higher end brands so I won’t be buying something just to try it out.

The Ordinary cosmetics in Douglas stores

Douglas started to sell The Ordinary products and I’ve heard so many good things about this brand. However, I don’t know if I’ll try something because I don’t have time to have a multi-step skincare routine and I know you have to be careful how you combine the ingredients and so on. Maybe in the future, I will give it a try, but for now, I’ll pass.

Douglas Box of Beauty March 2019

The latest Box of Beauty released by Douglas contains 2 full-size products (their own brand – a body cream and a perfume which contains only 15 ml) and 4 deluxe samples: a 50 ml shower gel from Rituals, a 7 ml sample of the Smashbox Photo Finish primer, a 15 ml cream from Ecooking and a 50 ml face cleansing gel from Ecooking. It also comes with a voucher. The products are not worth 20 euros in my opinion, especially since the full-size ones are just from their own brand, so it’s not for me.

Givenchy L’Interdit Edition Couture

I’m not sure if this is a new perfume to the line or if just the packaging is designed differently with those laced details. Either way, I did like my sample of the L’Interdit I had and I would love to own this perfume.

MAC Boom Boom Bloom LE Collection

This collection is so cute, with all the cherry blossom motives on the packaging and I always wanted to try something from MAC. I will say it’s tempting. It consists of the Prep+Prime Fix+ with cherry blossom scent, 2 High-Light powder shades, an eyeshadow palette, a strobe cream, 5 lipstick shades, and 3 Lipglass shades.

L’Occitane Herbae Collection

The new collection brings fresh scents perfect for the spring season. It consists of a perfume, a shower gel, body milk, hand cream, and perfumed soap. It has notes of wild herbs, blackberries, wild rose, and white nettle.

L’Occitane Fruits and Vitamins lip products

This collection contains various lip products with fruit extracts: lip scrubs, lip balms, and lipsticks. Sounds delicious!

L’Occitane Infusion face masks

Finally, the latest addition to the products launched for the spring season are some face masks: an exfoliating mask, a calming mask, and a purifying mask.

Pupa Milano Wow! liquid lipstick

Similar to the Ciate lipsticks (if I’m not mistaken), this lipstick goes from shiny to glittery when you press your lips together. It’s available in 12 shades.

Bottega Verde Moringa Defence skincare line

This new skincare line from Bottega Verde contains Moringa oil and the Oxygeskin technology. There is a cleansing foam, a night cream, a day gel-cream, a day cream, a face mask, and an eye cream.

Catrice Addicted To… LE

Catrice also came up with some interesting products, but what drew my attention were the palettes. There are 3 face palettes: Addicted To Passion Fruit, Addicted To Patisseries and Addicted To Chai Latte, as well as 4 eyeshadow palettes: Addicted To Exotic Fruits, Addicted To Spices, Addicted To Chocolates and Addicted To Berries. These are more on the neutral side, but they seem cute and fun and the prices are also affordable – around 11 euros for the eyeshadow palettes and around 9 euros for the face palettes.

Sephora Vivid Earth makeup collection

I know what you’ll say….just another neutral boring collection but I kind of like it. I mean, if you have to wear only minimal and natural looking makeup for work or if it’s just convenient for you, these palettes are great. I saw a large eyeshadow palette, a small eyeshadow palette and a face palette, al based on earthy, natural shades.

Clarins Selfie Eyes palette

Speaking of neutral palettes, I also saw this little cutie, for the eyes and the brows, but the price tag is definitely out of my comfort zone for such a small palette. I am curious thou about the quality of Clarins makeup products.

That’s about it for the products I found most interesting in March. I don’t think I will splurge on something because I need to save money for our home renovation, but maybe in April I will treat myself with something for the Easter.
