For those of you who are new to my blog, this series is about products that I’ve used up and weren’t that exciting enough to write a separate blog post about and some samples I’ve been using. Without further ramblings, these are some of the products I’ve been using up during the last month and a half.
L’Oreal True Match foundation

This was my favorite foundation for the longest time and I’m actually planning to buy a new one since I’m about to finish the 2 I currently use from Yves Rocher. I had it in the shade Rose Ivory, or Ivory Rose, I can’t remember and the writing came off on the bottle, but it is actually a foundation that adapts to the skin tone, so I don’t have to worry about having separate shades for summer and winter because I don’t get that tan during summer and I can get away with using the same foundation. The bottle looks so bad because I had the foundation for over a year because I didn’t use to wear makeup that often when I worked from home. Anyways, I like it because it looks very natural, it has a light to medium coverage (if I apply a second layer on spots where I have some redness or pimples or something like that) and it’s not really mattifying or illuminating. It’s neutral, that’s the best way I can describe it. Overall, I really love it and it applies easily with a brush, or a sponge or just with the fingers, whichever I like it.
Balea face cleansing foam

I used this cleansing foam with almond flowers extract during the winter months up until April because my skin is drier during the winter and I didn’t want something exfoliating that could be too harsh for my skin. I did like it, but not as much as to repurchase it. And Balea is changing the majority of its products anyway so I don’t know if it’s still available.
Balea Vanilla and Coconut shower cream

This was not one of my favorites because the coconut scent was too synthetic if that makes sense. It was too sweet, almost sickening, so honestly, I used this shower cream just to wash my legs.
Nivea Dry Confidence Plus anti-perspirant

It was ok because it didn’t irritate my skin after shaving but I don’t think it’s really that effective when it gets warmer. At least I don’t think it would work for me because I’m sweating like a pig when it’s hot outside.
Yves Rocher Coconut hand cream

I’m really a fan of hand creams in these practical little squeezy tubes because I can just throw them in my bag and have them with me all the time. This one did its job, it had a nice coconut scent, and that’s about it. There’s not much you can say about hand cream.
Perfume samples

I also used a couple of perfume samples.
La Vie Est Belle by Lancome – of course, I’ve heard about this perfume but I wasn’t that curious to try it out. Now I’m glad I have because it’s another perfume to add to my wishlist. It’s floral, delicate, yet distinctive and everyone around me was just like “Oh, you’re wearing La Vie Este Belle”. So yeah, I dig it.
Riflesso Blue Vibe by Trussardi – to be honest, this smells just like any other men’s perfume. I don’t know why, but I feel like there aren’t that many perfumes for men that have a distinctive scent to them. They seem to be all the same, like those sports shower gels that have that citrusy, fresh scent with a hint of musk.
Balea face masks

And finally, another round of Balea face masks because they’re cheap and I like them.
Balea Milk & Honey face mask – very soothing, supposedly for “stressed” skin.
Balea Vitamin face mask – with orange extract and lime juice.
Balea Vanilla Chai and Pumpkin face mask – this was a limited edition mask from last autumn, so I got it on sale.
All masks were like thick creams that you apply on the skin for 10-15 minutes, remove the excess and then massage the rest into the skin. They were all nice.
