Used-up and tested #8 – beauty products leaving my collection

I know it hasn’t been a month since I did the last post about my beauty empties, but now I gathered some more products that I would like to mention and I don’t feel like waiting for another couple of weeks, especially since there won’t be any other products to talk about.

Balea Buttermilk & Lemon shower cream

All-focus

You already know my opinion about Balea bath products – they’re nice and cheap. This scent is delicious, a little bit sweet and a little bit sour. It reminds me of some lemon pie. This is probably the last shower gel or cream that I’ll be using for a while because now I’m all about soaps and loofahs to exfoliate my skin during summer.

Balea shaving foam with silk protein and avocado oil

All-focus

You know, I’m just not a shaving foam person, I prefer gels. I feel like the foam disappears too fast on my skin and it does not a good enough job to soften the hair and make the shaving process quicker and more efficient.

Alverde make-up removing oil

All-focus

Alverde is another cosmetics brand that is available in DM shops just like Balea. Although Balea products are also cruelty free and some of there are even vegan, Alverde is the brand more focused on natural ingredients. So, when I saw this removing oil, I decided to give it a try because some people swear by oils to take care of their skin. The product contains nut oil, jojoba, chamomile, aloe vera and plenty of other natural ingredients. Although it was very gentle on my skin, I couldn’t use it properly on the eyes. I didn’t like that I would leave residues and I had to wash my face immediately to get rid of the blurry vision. Oh, and it didn’t remove the mascara completely no matter how hard I tried. So from me, it’s a no, I won’t ever try any other makeup removing oils for the eyes.

Cien Tropical Summer Foot Peeling

All-focus

Cien products can be found in Lidl stores and I often buy some of their stuff just because it’s convenient, you now? They’re cheap and when I go shopping, it’s easy to throw some things in the cart without even thinking about it. The quality is not the best, but it’s also not the worst. I’d say the products are fine when you’re on a budget or you have to save some money or something. This peeling was nice, it contains sugar and mango seed butter, so I could definitely feel the rough texture, but the feet also felt hydrated. Overall, I liked it.

Avon Foot Works Moisturizing Cream

All-focus

I remember the good old days when Avon products were the bomb for me just because there wasn’t much of an alternative. Now, after trying out different things, I can see how the quality is not that great. This foot cream with orange and cinnamon smells very nice but honestly it doesn’t do the job to moisturize the skin.

Dove Invisible Dry roll on

All-focus

I like using these Dove deodorants because they’re moisturizing and they don’t contain any alcohol, but during summer I have to rely on my Borotalco ones because they’re more efficient for such a sweaty person like I am.

Avon Care hydrating lip balm

All-focus

This one of the worst lip balms I had because it just feels like wax on my lips. I used it only when I’m at home. It’s unscented which doesn’t bother me but it’s also not that great in terms of moisturizing.

Dior Hydra Life micellar water

All-focus

I received this sample when I bought something from Sephora or Douglas, I can’t remember which but honestly I don’t have an opinion on it because the sample was too small for one use. It barely moistened a cotton pad to apply it on one cheek (I’m not even kidding). What i can say is that I would never pay much on a micellar water because I go fast through face waters.

So, that’s about it for now. To do a quick recap: I liked the Balea shower cream and the Cien foot peeling, both products I would repurchase again. The Dove roll on is good throughout the year except for the summer and I wouldn’t recommend the Avon products, the Alverde makeup removing oil and the Balea shaving foam.
