Ever since I got my Cocoa Blend Voyager palette, I knew I wanted to add more Zoeva eyeshadows to my collection since I loved their quality. Especially mini palettes are what I’m most drawn to now because they’re easy to use and I can take them with me in my bag to work or on vacation. Our Sephora carries a lot more Zoeva products now in their online store, so after a while when there wasn’t anything new, I decided to buy another little palette. They’re more expensive now than what they used to be. A small palette costs around 16 euros now and it used to be around 14,5 euros. They had a thing where you could buy travel products with free shipping so I decided to pick this one up, along with other Sephora products as well.

Just like the Cocoa Blend palette, it has 6 pans containing 0.9 grams of product each, which is quite enough for eyeshadow. The formula is somewhat delicate, because you really need to dip your brush lightly into the pan to not make it crumble, but they’re so buttery and apply great on the eyes. I always achieve such great looks with Zoeva eyeshadows without even having to try hard. The top row is all mattes and the bottom row has eyeshadows with a satin or shimmery finish. The swatches don’t look that great because I took the picture with my phone, but trust me, they’re all beautiful in person. They also feel so nice and smooth, not powdery at all. Just like the Cocoa Blend palette (and I’m guessing all of their products) the palette is made in Italy. I don’t want to sound like a snob but honestly the quality is much better when products are made in Europe or the US than in China. It’s just my opinion and I don’t want to bash companies that private label their products in China, but you’re basically getting what you pay for, you know what I mean?

The eyeshadow palette comes in a sturdy cardboard box with a sleeve, it has no mirror and it has warm colors, which I always seem to gravitate towards to, although I think cool-toned eyeshadows suit me better.

And now, enough with the talk, let me tell you more about the eyeshadows. So from left to right, the shades are the following (no primer was used and I did finger swatches):
Universal Delight – this is a light café latte brown that I use all over the lid to have a base and to layer the other eyeshadows on top. It has a matte finish.
Start Soft – this is a very warm chocolate brown shade with a matte finish.
Aftertaste – it looks like almost red but it’s more like a burnt red or like a brick red, either way a muted red shade which can be considered part of the “browns” family. It also has a matte finish.
182°C – this is a shimmery bronze, perfect for summer or for bronzed makeup looks in general.
Almost Burnt – this is the star shade in the palette for me because it’s such a beautiful shimmery gold shade that really doesn’t show up to its true beauty in the picture above.
Liquid Center – finally, this a rich brown with a metallic finish now that I look at it more closely because it’s vibrant and more than just shimmery.
Overall, I enjoy my little Zoeva palette very much and I can’t wait to add more palettes from this brand to my collection.
