Farmasi Pearl Powder Natural Soap review

Farmasi pearl powder soap

If you’re not familiar with this brand, don’t worry, you’re not the online one. The Farmasi brand was established in Turkey in 2004 by a former doctor, C. Tuna who also developed a line of products that has his name. The products were available in Romania since quite some time now, either in beauty shops or in their online shop, but now they also started distribution through an MLM system which is annoying and I don’t know why brands are still doing this.

The quality of these products I would say it’s a hit or miss, but mostly a miss from what I’ve tried so far. They are cheap but you get what you pay for, so no surprises here. Since I too have a coworker that has become a representative or consultant or whatever they are for  Farmasi, I bought a couple of things just to help her make some points so that she could get product or I don’t know what other perks. One of the two things I bought was this “natural” soap. I use the term “natural” loosely, because I’ve only seen 3 natural ingredients in in its formula: the pearl powder and some natural butters (I can’t exactly remember which and I threw the box away but I think one of them was shea butter).

The presentation is beautiful, it comes in a black cardboard box and the soap has a hexagonal shape. The prices is also comparable to other natural soaps I’ve used (2,5 euros for 100 g bar of soap). However, this is where all the pros stop.

The soap feels on the skin like any other regular soap. It’s not as soft or moisturizing like other natural soaps I’ve used and I feel like my skin is dryer than usual. I like to use soaps sometimes in the shower, but “normal” soaps leave my skin feeling dry and in need of moisture. This soap was no different. Also, the scent is really not my cup of tea. it has that powdery “old lady” scent and not in a good way. I’m just glad it doesn’t linger on the skin.

Therefore, if you’re a natural soap lover and you like to indulge with a good, high quality product in the bath, I would say you can definitely find better products on the market and at the exact same price.
