Garnier Pure Active Intensive Exfo-Brusher Face Wash review

All-focus

I’m not the one to fall for gimmicky skincare products and you won’t find me buying those super expensive face cleaning brushes like the Foreo for example, but when I see something cool and interesting at the drugstore I usually like to try it out. Turns out this interesting face wash that comes in a tube with an exfoliating brush is not new at all from Garnier. Infact, it’s been around for almost 10 years but we never got it in Romania, or at least I don’t remember seeing it in stores. I bough mine online and it was just slightly more expensive than a usual Garnier face wash.

First of all, let me explain what this is. This is a face wash that comes in a tube that has at the top an exfoliating brush. The bristles are very soft, so you won’t be too harsh with the skin. I feel like I’m doing a massage. You just have to squeeze the tube to get some product on the brush and then you can use it. The brush top can be switched from the front to the back to open and close it, so this way you won’t use too much product and you can easily clean the brush after using it.

I must say I really like this little “device” because for one, I feel like my skin is thoroughly clean and secondly, a little massage in the morning and in the evening improves blood circulation, thus it stimulates the natural collagen production. I will be reusing this tube for other face washes as well, because I just love using it.

The face wash is part of Garnier’s Pure Active line for acne prone skin which is meant to prevent spots. I would love to tell you that this is a miracle product but it isn’t. I still get my spots here and there, but the skin feels refreshed and at least it does help a little with excess skin oils during hot summer days. I use products like this only during summer because they dry out my skin too much during the winter season.

Overall, the face wash per say is decent enough, but I like the idea of incorporating an exfoliating brush right into the packaging very much. It’s very handy especially for travelling or simply if you don’t want to have to deal with using an extra brush or sponge or cloth or other types of items designed to exfoliate the skin and having to clean them after each use.
