One of essence’s best products they have on the market is certainly their Lash Princess mascara (which I also used in the past). It’s cheap, it’s good and it can rival with no problems with other much more expensive mascaras. Now I decided to try another mascara from this line, the volume one because I have fairly long lashes but I would like to add some more volume to them.
The mascara comes in a basic packaging, nothing too fancy and it has a slightly curved wand which I find useful to apply the mascara quick even in the corners of the eyes. Honestly, I can’t remember how much different the formula was of the original Lash Princess mascara or if it was different at all, but I do know that I also like this mascara.

The formula is more on the liquid side so it doesn’t make the lashes clumpy but it stays there all day. It’s not waterproof and I don’t know if it can’t survive tears and/or rain because I wasn’t in any of these situations recently. However, it’s not runny and I don’t find myself having to clean mascara traces in the under eye area.
Ingredients list:
AQUA (WATER), CERA ALBA (BEESWAX), PARAFFIN, CARNAUBA (COPERNICIA CERIFERA) WAX, ACACIA SENEGAL GUM, STEARIC ACID, PALMITIC ACID, HYDROGENATED LECITHIN, CERA MICROCRISTALLINA (MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX), AMINOMETHYL PROPANOL, MAGNESIUM SILICATE, GLYCERIN, HYDROXYETHYLCELLULOSE, POLYIMIDE-1, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, PHENOXYETHANOL, CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES).
The mascara like any other essence products is cruelty free but it’s not vegan (it contains beeswax) if this is something you’re concerned about.
From my experience with all essence mascaras, they have some of the best there are at the drugstore so if you’re on the market for a new mascara and you don’t want to spend a lot of money I would say you should definitely try some from this brand.
