Caolion Pore Intensive Soothing Soap review

All-focus

Before you start telling me how soaps are bad for your face and so on, this is a soap designed to be used as a cleanser for the face. It contains aloe vera and green tea, hence the interesting design.

Caolion is not a brand I’m familiar with, but now I know it comes from South Korea and it was founded by a woman who wants to incorporate as much natural ingredients as possible to create products that are suitable even for the most sensitive skin. On the packaging it says that this soap was handmade and it doesn’t have any scent at all, although fragrance can be found on the ingredients list.

However, I’m glad I only ordered the travel size soap from our Sephora store (25 grams) because it’s not a product that blew my socks off.

caolion soothing soap

In terms of having a soothing effect, I find that it doesn’t break me out like other products that are too harsh for my face (I get tons of white heads when my skin doesn’t like something I use), but other than that it feels just like any other natural soap. The skin feels very tight, almost too tight after using this soap, so I think it may be a little too much for my liking.

Ingredients:

AQUA (WATER), SODIUM LAURATE, SODIUM PALMITATE, SODIUM STEARATE, TRIETHANOLAMINE, GLYCERIN, SORBITOL, SODIUM MYRISTATE, SUCROSE, OLEA EUROPAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF , TITANIUM DIOXIDE, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), SODIUM HYALURONATE, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, HOUTTUYNIA CORDATA EXTRACT, DISODIUM EDTA, HEXYL CINNAMAL, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, CENTELLA ASIATICA EXTRACT, PHENOXYETHANOL, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN

Considering that this soap comes with a hefty price tag for what it is (around 5 euros for the travel size) I definitely don’t see it as something special or that I really need to have in my skin care routine.
