I usually don’t include shower gels in my reviews just because there’s not much to say about these types of products. I mean, I usually buy ones that I think smell nice and I don’t go for fancy products because shower gels are something I go through quickly (like most people I guess), so it’s not like i will find something out of the ordinary.
However, since the Clay Fresh shower gels are relatively new on the market (at least in Romania) and Nivea is one of my favorite brands, I decided to write about these.
There are three types of shower creams (I say creams because the texture is that of a cream, not the typical gel texture), which all contain clay. This ingredient is used to deep clean the skin without drying it out and we all know clay masks and clay in general makes the skin feel nice and soft.
I intended to get the lavender and agave one, but after smelling it in the store I just didn’t like the scent even though I love lavender. So, I opted for the ginger and basil one, although it seems like an odd pairing to me.
Ingredients:
Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Kaolin, Acrylates Copolymer, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Glycerin, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Trisodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate, Sodium Sulfate, Sodium Benzoate, Linalool, Limonene, Geraniol, BHT, Parfum, CI 10316, CI 61570, CI 16035, CI 42090
The shower cream has a fresh green color and a pleasant scent and it’s that type of product that makes you feel energized and refreshed after the shower. Do I think you can skip the body lotion after shower? It depends. If you have dry skin, you still need to moisturize your skin afterwards, but I don’t always do it because I can get away with it.
Overall, it’s a nice shower cream but nothing that blows my mind so I’ll probably repurchase it just if it’s on sale or something.
