Even though the Vitamin C face cream from Cosmetic Plant was not exactly my cup of tea, I still wanted to include this ingredient in my skin care routine. Everybody raves about vitamin C, how it makes your skin glow and it brightens it up and so on. So, when I saw that Cosmetic Plant added two serums to their Vitamin C line, I decided to get one and try it.

The serum comes in an opaque plastic bottle with a dropper and it has a thick, gel-like consistency, so it’s easy to apply. There are only 15 ml in the bottle, but serums should be used in small quantities because they are so concentrated.

Usually, this serum is sold for around 7 euros, which is not a bad price for what it is, but I got lucky and i bought mine on sale in a DM store for around 5 euros.

My experience with this serum

I use it only once a day, in the evening, because I can’t be bothered with extra steps in the morning (I have to get up very early and I’m NOT a morning person). I certainly noticed a brightening effect, my skin feels smoother and I think it reduced some of my fine lines around the mouth area. I don’t think this serum is a miracle worker, but I do think that vitamin C is a great ingredient to have in your skin care routine, due to its antioxidant properties and I also like the idea of adding face serums in my beauty routine.

I don’t think I have the patience to try out products like the ones from The Ordinary which have different concentrations in terms of active ingredients and learn how to mix them to obtain good results, but “ready-made” products based on different formulas are definitely something I want to use. As I grow older, I think just a cleanser and a face cream is not enough and I really want to take good care of my skin.
