I’m so excited for this that I couldn’t wait until December to show you what I got. This year’s beauty advent calendar for me is the essence one. It’s made of 24 little boxes and it contains all kind of makeup products (all full size) and a few fillers, but that’s what I expected. I had the Douglas beauty advent calendar for 2 years in the row and from what I’ve seen online they have products from the same brands I’ve tried before and the variety of products is not so good, so I decided to choose something else this year.

All advent calendars that I’ve seen so far are too expensive for me, especially considering what you get in them, so I decided to get the essence one because I like many products from the brand, although there are a few misses here and there. So in December, we’ll be opening again the advent calendar together and expect to find short reviews on all the products.

I bought my calendar from Pink Panda, which is an online beauty shop that sells all kind of drugstore brands (many are from Poland because it is a Polish franchise) as well as some European brands that I can’t find anywhere else such as Nabla or OPV Beauty.

Since I placed an order for the advent calendar, they also sent me this cute Halloween Mystery Bag that contained 3 products (there could have been more in the bag, probably depending on their value). Here’s what I got for free:

7th Heaven Blemish Clay Mask

This is a large pack that contains 20 grams, so I think I will be using the mask twice because it’s just too much product for one application. The mask is sold on their website for about 2.50 euros, but I’ve seen these types of masks in supermarkets at a higher price. I will try it out soon and write about it in my “used up and tested” series.

Revolution Beauty Reloaded Lustre Lights Highlighter Palette

I couldn’t find this product on their website so I think it may be something that’s out of stock. I found something similar on the Revolution Beauty website for 6 euros. I think this was supposed to be the most important product in the bag but I’m not a fan of the Revolution Beauty formula in the Reloaded eyes and face palettes and I also don’t use highlighters too much because I don’t like to emphasize any texture I might have on my skin.

However, since the colors are very wearable and it was a free product, I’m not knocking it.

Mayani Brush Cleanser

I didn’t expect to like this silicone brush cleanser as much as I do and I wouldn’t have paid 6 euros for it, but it’s actually pretty cool. I used it already to clean my brushes and it’s so much fun to use it because I just poured some baby shampoo on it, I added some water and I cleaned my brushes real quick and easy. It definitely was easier than to use just the palm of my hand like I used to do. Plus, it’s so cute in the shape of a little heart!

So this was what I got in my little mystery bang and I have to say it was a very nice surprise. I love the brush cleanser and the face mask and the highlighter palette is also nice, so I’m happy with it.
