Rimmel London Lasting Radiance Concealer review

rimmel london lasting radiance concealer

I’m a little late to the concealer game because I only recently started to use one on the regular. With age come the dark circles and with the lack of sleep come the puffy eyes, so I need a little extra help in the morning.

I bought this Rimmel concealer in the DM store because it was on sale and I paid only around 3 euros for it. I didn’t expect much from it because, for some reason, I seem to avoid Rimmel products (because I may be one of the few who doesn’t like they Stay Matte powder – I think it makes my face cakey and I had an awful mascara from them), but I was pleasantly surprised.

I got my concealer in the shade 010 Ivory as I’m pale as a ghost during winter and it was a good color match for me. This is a brightening concealer, with vitamin C, that is supposed to conceal, illuminate, brighten the skin and reduce the signs of tiredness.

Ingredients:

Aqua/water/eau, Cyclopentasiloxane, Butylene Glycol, Cetyl Peg/ppg-10/1 Dimethicone, Talc, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Tribehenin, Isononyl Isononanoate, Magnesium Sulfate, Bis-peg/ppg-14/14 Dimethicone, Lecithin, Mica, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Laureth-7, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Propylene Carbonate, Xanthan Gum, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Disodium Edta, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Aluminum Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Bht, Sodium Pca, Urea, Trehalose, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Hexylene Glycol, Polyquaternium-51, Caprylyl Glycol, Triacetin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, [May Contain/Peut Contenir/+/-:titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)].

I have dark circles but they’re not as bad as some people have them so I don’t know if this concealer is full coverage, but I would say it definitely has medium coverage because I don’t need much product to brighten up the undereye area. I also use an illuminating primer underneath, so that may be a considerable help. However, I don’t set it with powder and it doesn’t crease throughout the day.

That being said, I think I will definitely try some more Rimmel products, because, like most drugstore brands, there may be hits and misses. The foundations seem interesting and the lipsticks as well, so being one of the drugstore brands that is on the cheaper end here (in comparison with Revlon, L’Oreal or Bourjois), I think I will try and add other makeup products in my collection.

I’m very happy with my choice and I will most likely repurchase this concealer since I like it so much.
