So, I was telling you in my last post that I decided to subscribe to a beauty box. Turns out, we can get the Lookfantastic beauty box in Romania since last year, but I didn’t know about it. I got my box so late because I didn’t want to subscribe to the January beauty box because frankly the products weren’t so tempting for me, but I gave in because I got free shipping (even for the first box) which was great because the shipping would have cost almost as much as the box itself. So I subscribed for 12 months and I also got a free gift. The box came in about 5 days here and I didn’t have any problems.

I paid around 74 lei for it, which is around 16 euros. I got 7 products in total which I think is great. I will be adding reviews to the products and with links in this post. of course, I will not review everything, just the things that are more interesting. Like I said before, if some products are not cruelty free, I will still use them because they’re here so I see no point in throwing them away. Also, I know that Lookfantastic is a skin care heavy box in general but I don’t mind. I don’t need that much makeup and I would rather prefer getting to try out some expensive skin care to see what’s worth investing in. So, without further dragging it on, here’s what I got.

The box is nice and sturdy, it has a teal color and on the inside of the lid it says “Revive, Refresh, Recycle”. It also contains a bonus ELLE Uk magazine and a brochure that presents all the items in the box and some beauty-related tips and tricks. The presentation is beautiful and I will reuse this box for something for sure. If not, I can always recycle it.
Ecooking Moisturizing Serum (10 ml)

This is definitely the highlight of the box. It’s just a deluxe sample size I think, but it’s still worth 21,50 UK pounds. I don’t know for sure if the company is cruelty free but I found some indications that they are. The serum is vegan and it contains hyaluronic acid. The serum is produced in Denmark. You can find my review on the Ecooking moisturizing serum on my blog.
Lord & Berry Ultimate Lip Liner in the shade Nude

This is just a basic pencil lip liner that comes in a nude shade but I’m not excited about it because I rarely use lip liners and nude lipsticks even rarer because I don’t think they look good on me. It’s worth 15 UK pounds (too much if you ask me). The brand is cruelty free and the product is made in Italy.
GLOV Moon Pads (pack of 3)

These are actually pretty cool because they’re reusable makeup remover pads made from microfibers. I already used one with some micellar water and they took my eye makeup off while feeling very soft on the eyes. I also washed the pad and all the dirt got out with some regular soap. The pack is worth 7,11 UK pounds. The pads are made in Poland but I don’t know if the brand is cruelty free or not.
Mio Skincare Skin Tight Body Serum (30 ml)

This is just a sample size and as far as I can tell the brand is own by the same company that puts out the Lookfantastic boxes. It’s worth 9 UK pounds. The product is made in the USA but I don’t know if it’s cruelty free or not.
Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil Bleemish Stick (9 ml)

This is a full size product worth 9,99 UK pounds. It’s basically tea tree oil and witch hazel. I already use tea tree oil as a spot treatment and I’m curious to see if the combination with the witch hazel is better. The product is made in Australia but I don’t know if it’s cruelty free or not.
Sebastian Professional Dark Oil Lightweight Shampoo and Conditioner (50 ml each)

This is actually a set but I counted it as two products since some beauty boxes only give you just the shampoo or just the conditioner. The set is worth 7,92 UK pounds. I will test them out, but unfortunately Sebastian Professional is not cruelty free. The products are made in Germany and they’re sample sizes. (You can read my review of the Sebastian Professional products on my blog).
The box has a total value of 70,52 UK pounds which is great considering what I paid for. I’m happy about the Eccoking serum, the GLOV Moon Pads and even the Australian Bodycare tea tree oil stick. The shampoo and conditioner are not that great just because I wouldn’t have purchased them on my own and the lip liner is frankly boring. However, considering that I like half of the products in the box and I got it with free shipping, I don’t complain.
The gift I got because I subscribed for 12 months was the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Exfoliating Moisturizer. I know this is a very expensive brand and I was happy because I thought I would get a full size product but it’s just a deluxe sample size. At least it was free, right? The product is cruelty free. You can find my review of the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta exfoliating moisturizer on my blog.

Overall, this is definitely an interesting beauty box because I get to test out all kinds of brands that are not accessible or not easily accessible in Romania and I hope to discover some new exciting products this year. We’ll see how it goes.
The February box will contain a sample size of the ESPA Detoxifying Body Oil (15 ml), but I hope this is not the best product in the box because I really don’t get excited about sample sizes in body products. It’s one think to have sample sizes for face care, because you don’t use them up after one or two uses, but with body products, you put them on once ant they’re gone.
If you enjoyed this unboxing and you want to subscribe to the Lookfantastic beauty box, I would highly appreciate it if you would use my my referral code and subscribe. (But don’t feel obliged to do it!)
