Elmiplant Skin Moisture Moisturizing 24H Face Cream

All-focus

Since I had to replace my Farmec products because I no longer support brands that are not cruelty free, I decided to turn to another Romanian brand, that, as far as I know (and as far as they claim) is cruelty free. I used some makeup removers and face toners from Elmiplant’s Skin Moisture line, so now I picked up a face cream that is targeted towards normal and combination skin.

Packaging:

The packaging is an upgrade from Farmec (considering they have similar prices) as it comes in a glass jar (that is made from 30% recyclable material) and the cardboard box is made from responsible sources.

All-focus

Texture:

The face cream is more a face gel that absorbs really quick into the skin. It has a very light consistency, it’s white and it has a vague fruity scent but it’s nothing overpowering.

Ingredients:

The cream contains 88% ingredients of natural origin that come from sustainable sources. I love the fact that it’s not only a cruelty free product, but also a vegan friendly one.

The key ingredients in this product are the quince extract and the hydro nutrient 24h formula.

HYDRO NUTRIENT 24H is an advanced moisturizing complex that combines the purity of natural ingredients with the power of science to offer skin immediate moisturizing and prolonged skin hydration up to 24H.

It provides a skin friendly care, boosting the hydration process at its source thanks to natural moisturizers (fruit & plant sugars) as well as Natural Moisturizing Factors which are naturally synthesized and located within the skin (Hyaluronic acid).

Moreover, it restores moisture to the skin’s layers, prevents loss of water and increases skin own capacity to retain water, providing suppleness to the skin.

Quince is greatly valued for its high content of polysaccharides, vitamins and minerals. Quince extract is obtained from the seed of the woody but juice-filled quince fruit.

The quince extract included in the formula if this cream is 100% natural, deriving from eco friendly and gentle extraction methods that preserve its actives. It contains a high percentage of polysaccharides which are very good film formers and therefore excellent moisturizers. In addition, it regulates the natural moisture encouraging skin’s moisture balance.

Price and accessibility:

I can’t remember the exact price for this face cream, but I think it was around 17-18 lei for a 50 ml jar, which is around 4 euros (an excellent price for what you get). Elmiplant products can be found is most drugstores, supermarkets and beauty stores, as well as at online retailers. I don’t know about shipping to international customers,  but I guess there are some online retailers that ship outside of Romania or maybe there are foreign retailers that carry the products in their online stores.

My overall opinion:

I’ve been using the face cream for a little over 2 weeks now and I have to say that I really like it. It has a light texture that it doesn’t make my skin look greasy and it also provides enough moisture even during lower winter temperatures. I’m sure I will purchase this product again and I will also add more Elmiplant products to my skin care routine.
