Hairburst Chewable Healthy Hair Vitamins review (15-day trial)

All-focus

So, as you may probably remember I received a 15-day supply of these vitamins in my March Lookfantastic box and I was eager to try them out because we all want to have healthy shiny hair and all these supplements promise to fulfill this dream.

These are basically some sugary gummy sweets that taste like berries. They’re made in the UK and on the box it says to take two daily, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach. Which I did.

Ingredients:

Glucose syrup, Sugar, Gelatine (Bovine), Dextrose, Sweetener(Sorbitol), Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc, Acid (Malic acid),Pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5), Glazing agent,  [Vegetable oil (Coconut oil, Palm kernel oil, Sunflower oil), Carnuba wax], Vitamin B6, Vitamin A, Blackcurrant Flavouring, Biotin, Colour (Carmine), Sodium selenite, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12.

Sooo, the first ingredients on these list are glucose and sugar. Sure, there are also some vitamins and the biotin which I know is good for the hair is somewhere waaaay low on the list. So, I don’t know if it’s really that effective.

I’m happy to report I had no side effects, not even the acne breakouts that I read some people complain about (my guess it’s because of the sugar).

As for the results…I don’t know if it’s because I need to take these for a longer period of time, but honestly I didn’t see nothing. of course, my hair can’t grow much in just 15 days, but I expected to see something else. Like my hair feels stronger or it looks better or something. I didn’t see anything of this kind.

I realize my review is not exactly helpful because I don’t feel like I should label these vitamins as useless because I used them for a short time, but I think there are other options on the market with less sugar. Maybe some pills or capsules or something that contains just the vitamins and not the extra sugar and flavors (you don’t need them, let’s be honest, these are not candy they’re supposed to be a dietary supplement). I’m not convinced to buy a full pack of these especially because they’re like 20 euros for a months supply and I think I could buy something better for that price.

I’m glad I got it out of my system because I wanted to try them out. The cute packaging, the marketing, the candy-like taste can draw many people into buying these hair vitamins, but I don’t they’re really worth it.
