Usually I schedule my posts for the weekend, from Friday to Sunday, but since I got my April Lookfantastic box today I just had to post about the goodies that waited for me when I got home.

Bellapierre Peach Blossom Eyeshadow Palette

This was last month’s sneak peak most definitely the item that got me excited about the box because I love eyeshadow.

The palette is one of those pocket size one, with 4 shadows – 3 shimmers and one matte eyeshadow. The palette retails for 28.99 UK pounds and I think it’s expensive for what it is, especially since it says on the packaging that it’s made in China. Erno Laszlo Hydraphel Skin Supplement (15 ml)

This is basically a toner but I’m excited to try it out, even though it’s just a sample size because Erno Laszlo is a luxury skin care brand and I know Marilyn Monroe loved their products. I already used it after I removed my makeup today and it feels wonderful on the skin. The sample size is worth 5.58 UK pounds and the product is made in the USA. Ameliorate Transforming Body Lotion (30 ml)

This is supposed to be good to prevent bumps after hair removal because it contains lactic acid, but I think I will use it as a hand cream because I go through those fast now when I’m using hand sanitizers all day long. This is a sample size worth 4 UK pounds and the product is made in the UK. You can read my review of the Ameliorate Transforming Body Lotion on my blog.

Starskin 100% Camellia 2-step Oil Sheet Mask

It’s always nice to have these sheet masks handy because they usually make the skin look so soft and refreshed. I used Starskin masks before and I liked them. I plan to pamper myself with it during the weekend.This mask is made in Korea and retails for 9 UK pounds.

Minetan Coffee Scrub (30 grams)

This is also just a sample size, at least I think so, and I’m curious to try it out during the weekend when I take a long bath, put a mask on and relax in the bath tub. The pack retails for 9.95 UK pounds and the product is made in China.

Vintage Cosmetics Company Tweezers

Like in most boxes, we also received a beauty tool, this time some tweezers. I was actually in need of another pair of good tweezers because I have a pair in my bag and now I can keep one in my beauty bag at home. The tweezers look very cute and retail for 8 UK pounds. The product is made in China.

May’s box will contain the Avanti Ultimate Hyaluronic Acid Resurfacing Duo Moisturizers in a full size, worth 100 UK pounds and I’m happy about that because I can always use a good moisturizer.

Now for this month’s box, it has a total value of 65.52 UK pounds, which is good, but we had better in the past. I like all the products, maybe the body lotion is the only thing I’m not that excited about. It’s and ok box, but considering that the eyeshadow palette and the tweezers are the only products I can make good use of, the rest being only samples, I think the box could have been better. However, I’m still happy that I get to try out some new brands like Bellapierre and Erno Lazlo (which I will also do reviews on).

Considering that I have to spend as little as possible on skin care and makeup these days because of the entire economic situation that we have to deal with, the Lookfantastic box is like a monthly treat I allow myself.
