I know I’ve been MIA more than usual in June, but it was such a busy month as I had to prepare for my final exams in college this year, so I didn’t had the time to do more reviews. Also, I didn’t do any proper beauty shopping, so I don’t have much to report on. However, I do have a few empties that I would like to share with you.
Balea Vanilla Chai and Pumpkin Body Lotion

I had this body lotion since last autumn I think, hence the pumpkin scent. It was a nice lotion, but honestly it took too long to absorb into the skin, so I didn’t enjoy using it that much. At least, it did have a nice scent.
Cien Magnolia Shower Gel

This shower gel was kind of interesting because it had some little oil particles in it. It had a nice scent, but again nothing that could impress me. I didn’t expect much, since Cien products are usually very cheap and it’s just a generic brand. Magnolia is one of my favorite flowers, so at least it was worth it just for that.
Avon Sensuelle EDP

It’s a nice floral perfume with some oriental notes, but it doesn’t have much of a lasting power, which shouldn’t be a surprise, considering how affordable it is. It has notes of tangerine, orange tree blossom, bergamot, water lily, gardenia, heliotrope, orchid and cashmere wood. I used it as an everyday office perfume, because it simple, floral and not too overpowering.
Neutrogena Deep Clean Eye Makeup Remover

It’s just a basic makeup remover. It didn’t irritate my eyes, but I found that it doesn’t remove mascara that well as I always had to come back and clean up tiny mascara bits that would remain under my eyes. Not the worst, but not the best I used so far.
Eyeko Eyebrow Gel

I used it just because I had it. It wasn’t any different than any other drugstore eyebrow gel that I had in the past. It has a slight brown tint to it, but I couldn’t say how much it was visible because I have black eyebrows and I couldn’t really tell.
Josh Wood Colour Everything Mask

It makes the hair feel nice and soft, just like most hair masks. I wasn’t crazy about the scent and I used it only twice since I had a sample size, so I didn’t notice any miraculous transformation that would make me go out of my way to purchase this product.
Balea White Chocolate Lip Balm

This is just one of the many Balea lip balms I’ve used up. It had a very pleasant scent, especially since I love chocolate in any shape or form.
Shangpree Aroma Blend Mask

I like sheet masks and this one was really nice because it had those essential oils that made the experience even more enjoyable. It smells like roses but it has a nice scent (as long as you like rose scent of course) and I would certainly didn’t mind to try out more masks from this brand.
That’s it for now. As you can see, I still have some non cruelty free products in the mix but that’s just because it’s sometimes difficult for me to find affordable alternatives that also work (like the eye makeup remover) or because I still have some products left from the past (like the Avon perfume). However, I will still do my best to stay on the cruelty free train for as long as I can because it is something important for me.
