I told you I wanted to try more Madara products, so when I placed my order for that MioBio summer mystery box, I also ordered this CC cream because they had a 20% sale on all Madara products. Since it’s summer and it’s hot I don’t like to use any foundation, but I like tinted moisturizers to cover up that slight redness I have on certain areas on my face as well as small imperfections. This is one of their bestselling products, so I decided to give it a try.

Packaging:
The CC cream comes in a plastic tube with a small tip to help not squeezing too much product out. I would preferred to have a bottle with a pump, but most tinted moisturizers come in tubes, so I don’t complain about this. The tube contains 40 ml.

Texture:
It has the same texture as a moisturizer or a light-textured foundation. It comes in a few different shades (mine is Light), but the shade range is not too bad because the CC cream adapts to the color of your skin at least to some degree. It spreads easily onto the skin, just like a moisturizers and it isn’t streaky nor does it oxidize.

I love how he aloe leaf juice is the first ingredient, because it’s soothing and calming, perfect for the skin during summer. I also like the other natural extracts in it such as sea-buckthorn fruit extract (rich in antioxidants), oak bark extract, St John’s wort extract, green tea leaf extract (antioxidant-heavy as well) and grape seed extract. There’s also vanillin in the bottom of the list, but the CC cream doesn’t have any scent as far as I can tell or I couldn’t pick it up.
Price and accessibility:
The normal price is 27 euros but I got it on sale for a little over 20 euros. Is it more expensive than the usual tinted moisturizers I use? Yes. But considering the ingredients and how it feels on the skin, I don’t think I made a bad deal. There’s also more product in the tube as it contains 40 ml opposite to a foundation so I know it can least me for at least 3-4 months (from my previous experiences with this type of products). Madara products can be found in various online shops, they also have their own shop (with free shipping if you spend 60 euros), and probably in some stores. I don’t have any in my town, but I can get the products online if I want to.
My overall opinion:
I have used drugstore tinted moisturizers in the past and I wasn’t happy with them. They either made my face very oily because they tend to be more suitable for dry skin and I have combination skin, or they were the wrong shade. I don’t have very light skin in the summer but I also don’t tan that much to use something medium or deep, so I couldn’t find the right shade.
This CC cream does adapt to my skin tone and you can’t even tell I have something on, which I like. It also does some color correcting because the redness I have around my nose and on my cheeks is also covered up. It doesn’t oxidize and it doesn’t apply on streaky. It’s suitable for all skin types. I apply it over my usual moisturizer and it makes my skin look glowy. If I want it to be matte, I just add a little bit of powder, but most of the times I like the glowy effect because I think it’s something that gives you that sunkissed skin look. I don’t have any problems with the powder products I apply over it (bronzer, blush) so this is a great replacement for foundation during summer for me. Of course the coverage is light up to medium if you apply more layers.
This is not a vegan product (it contains beeswax), but it’s cruelty free and gluten free.
Is this expensive than the usual tinted moisturizers? Yes. But for me, it’s worth it because the drugstore ones I tried so far were simply all misses. The last one I tried was from L’Oreal and I pay around 15 euros for it and it didn’t apply nice. So, I prefer paying a little bit extra to have a good face product, because I may not use makeup on some days, just a little blush and mascara, but I always want my skin to look good. In other words, for me it was worth it. So if you have combination or oily skin and you have a hard time finding a good tinted moisturizer, I suggest you try this CC cream.
