Probably everyone that loves makeup knows how difficult it is not to develop a problem with the hoarding of eyeshadow palettes. You know you don’t need more than 2 or 3 because it’s difficult to ever hit pan on them, not to mention to actually use them up but…somehow we all want them. Since I’m done with eyeshadow shopping at least for this year, I’m going to say goodbye (in my mind) to some palettes that caught my eye but I didn’t get for one reason or another. So here are some which I liked but I convinced myself not to get.

Too Faced Bite Sized palettes

I love Too Faced, despite all the mixed opinions surrounding the brand. I own 5 already and I probably won’t stop. But I have to draw the line at these. Sure, the packaging is cute as hell and I like mini palettes because it makes it easier for me to decide which look I create. However, these are really boring. I like neutral palettes but I don’t see the reason to add two mini neutral palettes in my collection because I don’t see anything special in them. The Gingerbread Spice palette has that purple reddish color in it that I don’t like and the Salted Caramel one doesn’t even have something as a pop of color or at least one shade that stands out from the rest.

Urban Decay Stoned Vibes Eyeshadow Palette

I love anything shimmery and glitters that are fine. But…what would I do with such a palette? I wear makeup mostly when I go to work (and I can’t go with colorful glitters on the eyes) or when I go out. And since this year going out was more a dream than a reality, I didn’t get to create any sparkly looks. So, while I like to look at it, I know I won’t use this palette if I get it.

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

I already said I like basic neutral palettes and this one looks soo nice, plus I’m curious about these eyeshadows because I didn’t hear many people talk about them. However, spending about 60 euros for a neutral eyeshadow palette is where I draw the line. It’s just too much money for my budget and I can’t find any excuses to buy it.

Sigma Beauty Cor-de-Rosa Eyeshadow Palette

This palette had all kinds of shades that I like, a pinkish nude color story and it looks beautiful but I couldn’t bring myself to bite the bullet. The palette retails here for about 40 euros and I never tried Sigma Beauty eyeshadows before so I don’t know if they’re any good. And I don’t want to spend 40 euros to find out.

Like in the case of the Estee Lauder and Sigma palettes, this is just out of my budget. It retails for more than 50 euros and although I love how it looks and I’m intrigued by the brand ever since I discovered their lip balm but I just can’t spend so much on something that I don’t know if it’s good or not.

That’s it, that’s my eyeshadow palettes wish list. I know there not many, but I chose what is available here in Romania and honestly there aren’t many makeup releases compared to other places, so I can’t say that I have many makeup regrets.

An now, let’s get to drawer number 3 in the advent calendar!

Molton Brown Delicious Rhubarb and Rose Bath and Shower Gel

I’m very happy to have received this product although it’s a travel size (100 ml). I had the Coastal Cypress and Sea Fennel one before and although I saw that it was a good quality product (very dense texture, similar to the one of a jelly and tons of foam with a small amount of product), I didn’t like the scent because it was too masculine for me. This one smells look just like the name says: delicious! If you don’t like the rose scent, don’t worry. The rhubarb is much more present in the mix and the rose just makes it smell sweeter, like a rhubarb cake. I can’t wait to use this in the shower! The full size product (300 ml) retails on the Lookfantastic website for 124.30 lei, so this travel size is worth 41.43 lei.

Wonderful Morning Cupper Tea

This time we had a herbal tea and probably that’s why it didn’t seem to have such a strong flavor like the rest so far. This one contains lemongrass, mate, lemon beebrush, liquorice and lemin peel. It has a citrus taste and probably that’s why it’s called Wonderful Monring because it makes you feel energized.

I’m so tired now that it really doesn’t matter and I can’t wait to get to bed. Good night and see you tomorrow!
