I got my beauty box a little bit later this month than usually but I guess that’s normal with the holidays and all. Luckily it’s finally here and I received 6 products as usual. The box is a beautiful lilac one but I didn’t get the booklet. However, I will try to find the prices of the products online. To be honest, the theme is Restoration, but it doesn’t seem to be a very cohesive, but I don’t mind as long as they’re good products, right? So let’s see what I got in the box.

Starskin Hollywood Hand Model mask

I guess this can be considered a full size product, as it’s a sheet mask but for the hands. I will try it during my Saturday night pamper session. Hand masks are great during this cold winter season. The mask retails for 10.44 euros (on the Lookfantastic website)
Grow Gorgeous Balance Shine-enhancing Overnight Mask (30 ml)

I doubt I will leave the mask on for the night, but I will try to keep it as much as possible on the hair. It’s interesting, especially since it’s applied on dry hair. The mini size is worth 4.35 euros (according to the prices on the Lookfantastic website). Later edit: You can read my review on the Grow Gorgeous Balance Shine-enhancing Overnight Mask on my blog.
SVR Hydraliane Legere Intense Moisturising Cream (full size)

It’s like they read my mind because I wanted to try out more French skin care brands. I have enough face creams for now, but this is definitely going on the waiting list. This was the sneak peek revealed last month. This cream retails for 12.90 euros on the brand’s official website (although they priced it at 15 UK pounds in their sneak peek). Later edit: you can read my review on the SVR Hydraliane Legere Intense moisturising cream on my blog.
So Eco Complexion Sponge

I’m not crazy about makeup sponges because I prefer to use my fingers, but I must admit this sponge feels the softest I ever felt before (I only have one from Douglas and one from Brush Works and I’m not crazy about either of them). Plus, it looks so darn cute in that fresh green color. It retails for 6.96 euros on the Lookfantastic website.
Verso Eye Cream (7 ml)

I’m all set with face creams and now I also have a backup eye cream, so I’m a happy camper. I enjoy receiving skin care, what can I say? This is an expensive eye cream because this travel size is worth 21 euros (based on the price for the full size product on brand’s official website). There was also another variant for this product, the Dr. Botanicals Avocado and Cucumber Cleansing Bar (this one I don’t know what it’s worth). I’m glad I got the eye cream, it was my preferred variant. Later edit: you can read my review on the Verso Eye Cream on my blog.
Sleek Makeup Matte Me Liquid Lipstick in the shade Feels (full size)

I’m always happy to receive a makeup product and I quite like the other liquid lipstick I received recently from Lookfantastic. This seems to be a nude shade and I can’t wait to try it out. This one retails for 5.79 euros on the Lookfantastic website.
January’s box has a total value of 61.44 euros, which is very nice considering that I pay only 15 euros for the box. I received three full size products (a face cream, a liquid lipstick and the makeup sponge), or four if we count the hand mask as full size as well, plus two decent mini sized-products. From everything I received I can’t say that there’s something that I don’t like. I’m happy about the skin care items (the face cream and the eye cream) and I also like the hair mask, the liquid lipstick and the hand mask. I’m not sure about the makeup sponge, but I have to try it out. It was a nice mix of skin care, hair care, makeup and we even got a makeup tool in here, so I think it was a good box.
Like I said, I didn’t het the booklet, but I saw online that next month’s sneak peek is the Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer, a 6 ml travel size worth 10 UK pounds. I loved everything I got so far from Illamasqua, so I’m looking forward to next month’s box!
Compared to last January’s beauty box, I would say that this one was better because it fit my liking better. Last year I got a serum from Ecooking (which was just meh), a lip liner from Lord & Berry (useless for me), a pack of GLOV reusable makeup pads (I know they’re more friendly with the environment, but I didn’t like them), a Mio body serum (too sticky, not so fun to use), an Australian Bodycare tea tree blemish stick (it was ok, but not something to be excited about) and a Sebastian Professional mini shampoo and conditioner (those I liked). So, although that box had also a similar mix of products in terms of types of products, I prefer this one much more.
If you enjoyed this unboxing and you want to subscribe to the Lookfantastic beauty box, I would highly appreciate it if you would use my my referral code and subscribe. (But don’t feel obliged to do it!)
