I don’t know why sometimes I receive a booklet with this box and sometimes not, so I have to look up all of the products and variants. The box itself has a special design, considering that on March 8th we celebrate in Europe Woman’s Day. It’s pink and it has the silhouettes of women of different races on the box, which is cool, hence the theme. Unfortunately, I don’t think the products necessarily fit the theme of the box, but it’s not something that bothers me that much. This month we also got 7 products instead of 6, two of them being full size.

Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil (50 ml)

This was the sneak peak for last month, a mini size of the Christophe Robin hair mask. I don’t know why they sometimes promote just mini products as the highlight of the box, but whatever. It’s a hair mask and it’s something that I will try out, but I’m not that excited about hair products to be honest. The full size is 250 ml and it retails for 228.83 lei on the Lookfantastic website, which means that the mini size is worth 45.76 lei (9.37 euros). AHAVA Mineral Deadsea Mud Soap (30 grams)

This mud soap is supposed to be full size, but it only has 30 grams, so it’s just a mini size. I plan to use this on my face and no, don’t judge me. I use gentle soaps all the time on my face to wash off my makeup in the evening and I never had an issue. And it says on the packaging that it’s for the face and body. The full size has 100 grams and it retails on the Lookfantastic website for 47.97 lei, so the mini size is worth 14.39 lei (2.95 euros).

Bloom & Blossom Wonder Worker Multi-Tasking Balm (15 ml)

This is one of those balm that you can use on the lips, on the elbows and everywhere on the body where you have very dry skin. I think it’s something similar to vaseline or to other types of thick balms. I want to use this on the lips, especially as an overnight lip balm to have smooth lips in the morning. The full size contains 50 ml and retails for 54.24 lei on the Lookfantastic website, so the mini size is worth 16.27 lei (3.33 euros).

Lottie London AM to PM Retractable Black Eyeliner (full size)

What a shocker, another black eyeliner. I’m not saying that we don’t need black eyeliners all the time, but I got one of these each month over the last few months. I didn’t have a retractable one, just pencils and liquid eyeliners so I guess at least that’s different. The eyeliner retails for 27.97 lei on the Lookfantastic website (5.73 euros).

Brushworks Double Ended Brow Brush (full size)

This is an eyebrow brush and while I’m usually happy to receive brushes in my boxes I’m not excited about this one because I don’t like duo brushes as I store mine standing up and it’s always a hassle to keep one of the ends clean and because I don’t really do anything to my brows because they are fine just as they are (yes I am lucky at least in this matter) and I don’t need eyebrow brushes. Plus, the spoolie is a little bit crooked. The brush retails for 18.03 lei on the Lookfantastic website (3.69 euros).

First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Coconut Water Cream (9.6 grams)

Another variant was to receive a pack of 10 Facial Radiance Pads from the same brand. I would have preferred the pads, just because it would have been interesting to try them out, but I will use this one as well because I like the other First Aid Beauty face cream I owned a few months ago. The full size contains 50 ml and it retails for 34 US dollars on the brand’s website, so the mini size is worth 6.8 US dollars (5.67 euros). Polaar Ice Source Moisturising Cream (20ml)

That’s the other reason why I’m disappointed that I got the First Aid Beauty cream, because there is another face cream in the box, this time something that I would call a travel size. Don’t get me wrong, I like receiving face cream because I haven’t bought one in like 4-5 month because I kept receiving all kinds of moisturizers in my beauty box, but two products of the same kind in the same box it’s a bit overkill. The full size contains 50 ml and retails on the Lookfantastic website for 126.56 lei, so the travel size is worth 50.62 lei (10.37 euros). The total value of the box is 41.11 euros, which is pretty low for this box, even though there are two full size products as they’re only a brush and an eyeliner. So I think that the total value that they promoted having a worth of 55 UK pounds is not accurate. There is no way this products are worth more than 50 UK pounds because they’re not that expensive there are a lot of mini sizes.

Compared to last year’s March box, I think that that one was better even though that was also a disappointment because my bonus product was a repeat from January 2020, a lip liner from the same brand and in the exact shade. However, it had a value of more than 90 UK pounds, I got a full size Madara eye cream, an Elizabeth Arden skin treatment, a Rituals shower gel, a Rodial cleansing balm, some Hairburst hair vitamins and a Grow Gorgeous scalp mask. So, overall, there were more expensive brands in the box and it was more diversified.

For this month, I feel like they dropped the ball, especially since I was expecting something special for Woman’s Day. There are two face creams in here, plus a multi-tasking balm, which somewhat similar considering that it’s also a skin care item, the makeup item is just a black eyeliner, the brow brush is not something that I use, the soap is not even a full size and the hair mask is just a mini size. As for the brands, Brushworks and Lottie London are very affordable brands, and the rest of them have just mini sizes in there (well the Polaar face cream is a little bigger as it’s almost half of the full size). I’m sorry to say, but this month was for me probably the most disappointing box I have ever gotten from Lookfantastic and I just hope that this not something permanent and the boxes will improve and not get any worse each month.

For the month of April, I looked up the sneak peak online and I found out that each box will contain the Avant Pink Orchid Subtle Restoring Overnight Serum (30 ml) which seems to be a full size and I know that Avant products are quite expensive. I’m excited for that one because I love face serums, I just hope that the other products will be more diverse and exciting. I’ll scrap this one as just a bad month and I hope that in the future they will improve their boxes because if not, I’m going to cancel my subscription.
