I don’t know why I keep getting this box so late, but finally today it arrived. The theme for this month is “Blossom” as a reference to the cherry blossom, hence the pink color of the box. Unlike other months, the theme does seam to be more thought out because even if there isn’t anything cherry-fragranced in here, at least there are pink things and pink ingredients (so to say).

Just like in any other months, there are 6 products in the box. Let’s see what they are, shall we?

Nails Inc. Nail Polish in the shade Mayfair Lane

I did enjoy the other Nails Inc polish I got in a previous box, but that one is a blood orange color that is not always my everyday jam. This one is a natural pail pink color that has a shiny finish.

There was a different variant for this product, so I could have gotten a Bellapierre mono highlighter & eyshadow in Shade 2 (a copper shade). Personally, I am more happy about the polish because I don’t like the Bellapierre eyeshadow trio that I have and I also don’t use mono eyeshadows often.

Both products are full size and I couldn’t find the exact nail polish on the Lookfantastic website, but a similar one retails for 62.15 lei (12.62 euros).

GLOV Scrubex

This is an interesting product because I definitely wouldn’t have bought it on my own. Like I said, it’s pink so it kind of fits the theme. This is like a glove for your finger that you have to dampen and you can use it to exfoliate your lips. I already tried this and you know what? It gets the job done. I applied some lip balm after that and now my lips feel soft. Why should I spend my money on lip scrubs or be messy with sugar and honey and stuff like that when I can use this handy finger glove? After using those makeup removing reusable pads, I haven’t bought cotton pads in months so it’s definitely nice not to waste product when you can have something reusable.

This is a full size product and it retails for 72.89 lei (14.80 euros) on the Lookfantastic website. It’s pricy for what it is, but if it’s something that you can use for a long time, it may be worth it.

Beauty Pro Rose Infused Sheet Mask

Continuing with the pink blossom theme, this is a biodegradable bamboo sheet mask infused with rose, chamomile and seaweed. I have yet to try this, but I’m always down for a good sheet mask, especially if it’s something with rose.

This is a full size mask and it retails for 4.95 UK pounds (5.75 euros) on the brand’s website.

REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream (15 ml)

I like the toner I had from REN, so I’m curious to see what this face cream is all about. It’s just a mini size, but still, it’s nice to be able to try it out.

The full size (50 ml) retails for 214.70 lei on the Lookfantastic website, so the mini size is worth 64.41 lei (13.08 euros).

Avant Pink Orchid Subtle Restoring Overnight Serum

This was the sneak peek we got last month. It’s the full size (30 ml) Avant face serum with pink orchid (see, the pink theme is going), white peony, glycerin and hyaluronic acid. I already used it once and it feels nice on the skin.

This product retails for 519.80 lei (105.54 euros) on the Lookfantastic website. You probably know my opinion by now about Avant products, as I think they are overpriced. Eyelure London 3/4 Lenght No. 11 Light & Wispy Lashes

This is another full size product. I never tried false eyelashes before, but these one seem to be more “natural”, so maybe I could try them out. I hear good things about Eyelure lashes and they even come with an adhesive in the box, so I will experiment with them. It also fits with the pink theme because the box is pink, right? These retail for 23.73 lei (4.82 euros) on the Lookfantastic website.

The total value of this box is 156.61 euros, but consider that the Avant serum alone is worth more than 100 euros. Even without that, the box has a pretty good value. There are 5 full size items in this box (the lip exfoliator, the nail polish, the lashes, the sheet mask and the face serum) and only one mini size product (the face cream). It seems like they tried to redeem themselves with this box considering that the first three months of this year were really not that great.

May’s box will contain an ESPA 24hour replenishing eye moisturizer (7 ml), worth more than 18 UK pounds. Sure, an eye cream is nice but I didn’t love the scent of the ESPA face cream I had, so I hope that there are also other surprises in this box.

Compared to last year’s April box, this one I have to say is better. That one had an Erno Laszlo skin treatment in a mini size that I liked and a mini body lotion from Ameliorate, but there was the Bellapierre eyeshadow palette that I was disappointed in, the Minetan coffee scrub (which was just like using grounded coffee and it was messy), a Starskin sheet mask and some cute tweezers from Vintage Cosmetics. Of course, the value was also much lower.
