Used-up and tested #29 – beauty products leaving my collection

This month was not one that was particularly interesting in terms of products that I got to try, so here is just a quick recap of the products that I used up and didn’t review on my blog and a couple of items I decluettered because I have no use for them anymore.

Dove Nutritive Solutions Volume Lift Shampoo

I ended up using this shampoo to clean my makeup brushes because it caused me dandruff and an itchy scalp. It may have been useful in terms of volume, but it was not a shampoo suitable for my hair.

Today Coconut & Vanilla Hand Cream

This was a big tube of hand cream and I used it on my body as well because it would have taken me a long time to use it up otherwise. It smelled nice and it was a decent hand cream, but nothing to write home about.

Rodial Dragon’s Blood Cleansing Water

I really liked this cleansing water and it took me some time to finish it up because I was using it just to remove my eye makeup as it was gentle on the eyes and it’s a little bit difficult to find makeup removers that don’t make my eyes sting. It also had a very subtle but pleasant scent.

Beauty Pro Rose Infused Sheet Mask

This face mask was quite nice and I love the fact that there was plenty of serum in the sachet. So much so, that I had some to apply on my face even after getting the sheet mask out. It has a rose scent, so that can be bothersome to some, but since I love rose-scented things, it didn’t bother me one bit.

Douglas Mascara

I can’t remember for the life of me the name of this mascara, but it’s what I’ve been using for the last three months and now it’s time to change it. It was a decent mascara, but sometimes it could get clumpy and it didn’t make my lashes look especially longer.

Freedom Makeup Pro Glow Face Powder

Now we’re getting to a few makeup items that I decluetterd. I got this face powder as a free gift with a purchase from the now disappeared brand Freedom (Revolution Beauty’s sister brand) and not only did it crumble without me dropping it on the ground, but it was also too dark for my skin color, even applied as a bronzer, so now it’s time to get rid of it.

Yves Rocher Moisturizing Cream Lipstick

I like this creamy lipstick a lot especially because I was trying to make nude lipsticks work for me for a while, but now it’s old and it has a funky smell, so in the trash can it goes.

Zoeva Voyager Caramel Melange Eyeshadow Palette

I like the quality of Zoeva eyeshadows and I love mini palettes, but this one I didn’t use that often just because the shades are too warm for my liking and I feel like they make my eyes look sickly. I know it’s maybe just my impression, but I still didn’t use it, so I finally decided to let it go.

That’s it from me for this month. I plan on doing some “damage” next month because I haven’t bought any new makeup in ages, so I’m looking forward to that. I hope you all have a great month or for all my Orthodox readers who are celebrating Easter this weekend, Happy Easter!
