June 2021 Lookfantastic Beauty Box – The Elements Edition Unboxing

It’s that time of the month again and I’m not talking about my period (ha, ha, I’m funny, right?). I got my Lookfantastic beauty box for the month of June. First of all, the design of the box is pretty cool because it’s something different. The theme of the months is “Elements” because it’s supposed to be an eco beauty box. In June, we celebrate the World Environment Day and the World Oceans Day, so that’s why they decided to focus on beauty brands that try to be as eco-friendly as possible. And there was also a little bonus item in here.

Dr. Lipp 100% Natural red Radish Tint (full size)

This isn’t the first time that we got a Dr. Lipp product in the box, it was also a lip tint. From what I can remember, it was a nice product, but now it’s just not that exciting for me because it’s a sticky lip balm/lip gloss that isn’t so mask friendly. This product retails for 45.14 lei (9.17 euros) on the Lookfantastic website.

ESPA 24 Hours Replenishing Eye Moisturizer (7 ml)

This travel size eye cream contains myrrh, frankincense, neroli, gingko biloba, evening primrose and jojoba oil. I wasn’t too keen on the ESPA face cream that I had in the advent calendar, but I’m curious to see how this eye cream feels. I will I save it for now, because all the minis I receive until August I will take with me on vacation to save some space in the luggage. The full size (15 ml) retails for 237.30 lei on the Lookfantastic website, so the travel size is worth 110. 74 lei (22.50 euros). Later edit: you can read my review on the ESPA 24-HOurs Replenishing Eye Moisturiser on my blog.

Rituals The Ritual of Jing Mild Body Scrub (70 ml)

This is another travel size, this time for a body scrub that I can’t wait to try out. All I can say for now is that it smells soooo good. It contains lotus, shea butter, jujube and coconut oil. The full size (200 ml) retails for 73 lei on the Douglas website, so the travel size is worth 25.55 lei (4.58 euros).

So Eco Gentle Facial Buffer (full size)

This is and exfoliating pad (didn’t we get one last month also?) that is not a silicone one, but a natural one. I don’t like to use exfoliating pads, but I will give this a try on my body instead on my face. This product retails for 3.50 euros on the Beauty Bay website. I love that they partnered up with Lookfantastic to plant trees through the proceeds from this collaboration, but I’m just not excited about a facial buffer.

Philip Kingsley Finishing Touch Polishing Serum (20 ml)

Another travel size item is this polishing serum that I won’t take on vacation with me just because I wasn’t a fan of Philip Kingsley products that I have tried so far, but of course, I’m curious to see how this one works. The full size product (75 ml) is sold for 22.50 UK pounds on the brand’s website, so the travel size is worth 6 UK pounds (6.99 euros).

Balance Me Pre and Probiotic Cleansing Milk (30 ml)

This is another item that will go in my travel beauty bag. It was the product we were teased with last month and it contains salicylic acid and willow bark. This mini size is sold on the brand’s website for 9.60 euros. Later edit: you can read my review on the Balance Me Pre and Probiotic Cleansing Milk on my blog.

Bonus item: L’Oreal Paris Hand Sanitiser Gel Hydro-Alcoholic (125 ml)

This will come very handy as well during traveling. Asides from the usual 6 items, we also got this little bonus item that isn’t even mentioned in the brochure, but it’s very useful these days unfortunately. The full size (200 ml) retails for 14.07 lei on the Lookfantastic website, so this one is worth 8.79 lei (1.79 euros).

The total value of June’s beauty box is 58.13 euros, including the little bonus item. It’s not a great value, but at least I still got more than the triple sum that I paid for the box. The makeup is still lacking, at least the lip tint is the only thing that could count as a makeup item. We got a little bit of everything, an eye cream, a cleansing milk, a hair styling product, a beauty tool (the facial buffer) and a body care item. I’m not happy about the lack of makeup and the facial buffer is not something that I would use. Regarding the brands, there is also nothing in here that makes me jump of joy because they are all brands that I tried before and they are kind of meh.

The sneak peek for July’s beauty box is the Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser (20 ml) which I’m very happy about because I like Elemis and I like a nice glowing skin during summer. There is also a hint that we will get a travel beauty bag instead of the usual cardboard box, like we did last summer (for the month of June).

Compared to last year’s June beauty box, this one is slightly better because that one had a total worth of only 49.94 euros and the products were also not that exciting. There was a lip balm (that I was not a fan of), some travel sunscreen from Polaar, a sheet mask, a mini shower gel from Molton Brown, a mini hair brush and a travel size hair mask from Josh Wood Colour. I don’t know, maybe because I’m getting bored with the box after a year and a half but now that I look back on it, last year’s box was not better, but I was more excited about it back then.

If you enjoyed this unboxing and you want to subscribe to the Lookfantastic beauty box, I would highly appreciate it if you would use my my referral code and subscribe. (But don’t feel obliged to do it!)
