Comfort Zone Hydramemory Cream Gel review

Although I had only a travel size of this face cream-gel, I think that 15 ml was enough to decide if I like it or not, because I used it only in the morning because I used a rich cream during the night.

I don’t know much about Comfort Zone Cosmetics, but what I could find on their website is that they don’t use animal derivatives, silicones, mineral oils, artificial colorants or SLS. The products are also vegan, cruelty free and produced with renewable resources in Italy. Everything sound cool so far, right?

Packaging:

The packaging is also very cute. I love the lavender color that they used for the tube. The full size product (60 ml) has the same color, but it comes in a jar instead of a tube. It’s still very cute.

Texture:

Being a cream gel, this has the texture of a thick cream, but once applied it melts into the skin as easily as a gel. Because of its lightweight feel on the skin and because it doesn’t make the face look shiny at all, that’s why I chose to use it in the mornings. The cream has a light scent, but I liked it, I can’t say that it bothered me.

Ingredients:

AQUA / WATER / EAU, GLYCERIN, SODIUM ACRYLATE/SODIUM ACRYLOYLDIMETHYL TAURATE COPOLYMER, DICAPRYLYL CARBONATE, PROPANEDIOL, POLYMETHYL METHACRYLATE, C12-15 ALKYL BENZOATE, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, MORINGA OLEIFERA SEED OIL, METHYL METHACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE, CITRULLUS LANATUS FRUIT EXTRACT / CITRULLUS LANATUS (WATERMELON) FRUIT EXTRACT, SODIUM LEVULINATE, BENZYL ALCOHOL, OLEYL ERUCATE, LENS ESCULENTA FRUIT EXTRACT / LENS ESCULENTA (LENTIL) FRUIT EXTRACT, DISODIUM EDTA, ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, PYRUS MALUS FRUIT EXTRACT / PYRUS MALUS (APPLE) FRUIT EXTRACT, PROPYLHEPTYL CAPRYLATE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, CAPRYLHYDROXAMIC ACID, TOCOPHEROL, CITRIC ACID, SODIUM HYALURONATE, o-CYMEN-5-OL, MAGNOLIA OFFICINALIS BARK EXTRACT, SODIUM LACTATE, SODIUM PCA, SODIUM BENZOATE, POTASSIUM SORBATE.

The top 5 ingredients are water, glycerin, sodium acrylate/acryloydimethyl taurate copolymer (a synthetic polymer used as a suspending and thickening agent), dicaprylyl carbonate (skin-conditioning agent, emollient and solvent) and propanediol. There are no pore-clogging ingredients in the formula.

Other interesting ingredients are moringa seed oil, watermelon fruit extract, lentil fruit extract, apple fruit extract and magnolia bark extract. I personally like these natural ingredients, although arguably they are probably not amazing for the skin, but I just love fruit extracts in skin care because I think they’re full of antioxidants.

Price and accessibility:

Since I couldn’t find a price on the brand’s website, because apparently they sell the products in their own spas, I did a quick search and I found that it sells for 74 euros in an online shop and for 432 lei (around 88 euros) in a Romanian online shop, so it’s quite pricy.

My overall opinion:

I must say that I like the formula and although it says in the product description that it’s suitable for dry skin, trust me when I say that it’s good for oily or combination skin as well because it’s very lightweight and it doesn’t look shiny at all. I liked it quite a lot and if did fell like the name suggests, very comfortable. The only thing that could stop me is that it’s out of my price range, but I’m glad I was able to try it out and that I heard about this brand.
