Used-up and tested #31 – beauty products leaving my collection

Since June is also gone by which means I’m done with my exams for the year and I can finally start planning my vacation, I’m actually excited to go through my empties basket. Since it’s summer there are mostly shower gels and deodorants in here, but I also decluttered some makeup items because I just don’t want to keep what I don’t like enough.

Fa Men Beach Edition Refreshing Shower Gel

No, it’s not my husband’s, I was the one that used it because it was supposed to smell like the ocean and I wanted something cooling in the shower. Well, it was a dud because it has that generic “men’s” scent that doesn’t smell like anything really.

Cien Cherry Blossom Liquid Soap

Cien liquid soaps are nothing new on my blog, but I haven’t seen the cherry blossom scent until now so I just wanted to throw my two cents in here and say that id does have a nice cherry blossom scent.

Rituals The Ritual of Jing Mild Body Scrub

I only had a travel size of this body scrub but it was very nice. The scent is interesting, unique and the scrub was a little bit more creamy than the usual sugar, salt or coffee scrubs. Did it really blow my mind? No, because I just don’t use body scrubs often, but it was nice.

Old Spice Citron Deodorant Spray

Again, a deodorant that I used myself because I know that most deodorants for men are more efficient than the ones for women. I don’t like the scent to be honest, so I don’t think I’ll be trying this trick again.

Elmiplant Skin Defence 35+ Day Cream

Initially, I planned on doing a review on this face cream, but it’s just like any other Elmiplant face cream. I don’t see any major differences in the formula with these creams, so there is no point. For example, you can read my review on the Elmiplant Hyaluronic 3D antiwrinkle day cream.

Avon Care Youghurt & Honey Hand Cream

This hand cream was decent enough and the scent was surprisingly pleasant as many creams that contain honey have that synthetic smell to them. I like small 30 ml hand creams because I can always pop them in my bag.

Take Me Far Away EDP by Ilvande

This was just a very cheap perfume (like 2 or 2.5 euros or so) that has a rose scent and I bought it to wear whenever I want to have a little fragrance on me but nothing fancy. Of course, it fades away quickly, but what can you expect from something so cheap?

Missoni Wave Pour Homme EDT

I had a little perfume sample that I got in a Douglas beauty box. My husband didn’t like it so I used it. It’s nothing special, to be honest. It’s a fresh summer scent, but it doesn’t make me want to smell it again and again.

I Love Makeup Revolution I Heart Chocolate Peach eyeshadow palette

I decluttered my other chocolate bar palette from I Love Makeup Revolution as well because it was getting old and the powders wouldn’t perform as well. I also was never a fan of the quality of these palettes even if they are drugstore and they have a reasonable price.

Bellapierre Peach Blossom Eyeshadow Palette

I got this last year in a Lookfantastic beauty box and I wasn’t a fan of the quality since then. I also don’t like the colors that much, just that coral peach one on the right, but I don’t use it enough to justify keeping it in my collection. You can read my review on the Peach Blossom palette on my blog.

Douglas Fall Lights Highlighter & Blush Palette

This palette was cute and all and I got it in a Douglas beauty box, but I didn’t used it much because of the colors. I don’t wear bright fuchsia or orange blushes and I don’t like dark golden highlighters, so there is no point in me keeping this. You can also read my review on the Fall Lights palette on my blog.

That’s all from me, I plan on doing much wiser choices in the future when it comes to makeup and yes, it was fun to dabble in some pricier skin care and makeup but that’s just not me and I’m a drugstore kind of girl all the way, so that’s what I’ll be reviewing more.
