I finally got my Lookfantastic box today and all I can say is that we finally got one of the better ones. This month, it comes in a travel bag, just like we got last year in June, except this one is white. I must say the turquoise one we got last year was nicer, I mean the color was nicer because the bag is exactly the same, with a golden zipper and a clear cover which allows you to see what you have inside.

This month’s bag (because it’s not a box) has the Wanderlust theme, which means it’s focused on travelling. I plan on going on vacation in August, so I’m saving all the mini size products I get, which means that I won’t be testing many of these this month. But let’s see what we got in the bag.

Revlon Classic Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade Rose Wine (full size)

I like Revlon lipsticks and my mom likes them too, actually a particular shade is one of her favorites. They’re creamy they have a wide shade range and they’re just a classic drugstore lipstick. This shade is a reddish-coral shade that I think looks quite nice and I’m happy to have it. The lipstick is sold on the Lookfantastic website for 9.45 euros (but I know you can get them for cheaper from some other online shops).

Illamasqua Beyond Liquid Highlighter in the shade OMG (2 ml)

Finally, we are treated not with one, but with two makeup items, since the last boxes were so lacking on makeup. This is just a mini size, but for a liquid highlighter it’s enough. We got the powder highlighter sometime last year, so this is the liquid version of it. I like the shade OMG so I’m curious to see how the liquid highlighter looks. Plus, I like Illamasqua as a brand. The full size (15 ml) is sold on the Lookfantastic website for 21.95 euros, so the mini is worth 2.92 euros. Starskin 7-Second Luxury All Day Mask (full size)

This mask contains glycerin, niacinamide, grapeseed extract and berry seed extract. It’s a double sided cleansing pad that works as a morning or as an overnight mask. Face masks are always welcomed in my book and I will try this one during the weekend. On the Lookfantastic website they sell packs of 5 masks for 10.45 euros, so one mask is worth 2.09 euros.

Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser (20 ml)

This travel size moisturiser will surely go into my travel bag. It contains kombucha, ginger and green tea seed oil. We all want to glow during summer right? I liked the Elemis products I used so far, so I’m excited to take this little guy on vacation with me. The full size (60 ml) is sold on the Lookfantastic website for 44.45 euros, so the travel size is worth 14.81 euros. Grow Gorgeous Defence Anti-Pollution Leave-In Spray (60 ml)

Another travel size product that will go into my travel bag is this leave-in spray. I plan on spending a lot of time out in the sun, so a leave-in spray should be a nice addition to my beauty bag. It says in the description that it’s especially created for greasy hair that is prone to product build up, which is exactly what I have. It contains green tea extracts, sunflower extracts and vitamin B5. The full size (150 ml) is sold on the Lookfantastic website for 16 euros, so the travel size is worth 6.4 euros. MineTan Cucumber Hydrating Face & Body Mist (30 ml)

This refreshing spray is supposed to act as a gradual tanner, so I’m curious to see how it works. I’m still thinking if I will take it with me on vacation or if I’ll use it up until then. It contains cucumber, citric acid, jojoba oil and macadamia seed oil. It should be both moisturizing and refreshing at the same time. The full size (177 ml) is sold on the Lookfantastic website for 11.45 euros, so the travel size is worth 1.94 euros. The total value of July’s beauty bag is 37.61 euros, which is way lower that their claim that it’s worth over 50 euros. I’m not mad at it because it’s more than what I paid for and for once and actually like all the products. We got 2 makeup items (a lipstick and a liquid highlighter), a moisturiser, a face mask, a leave-in spray for the hair and a tanning mist. Two of the items are full size (the lipstick and the face mask), while the others are travel or mini sizes. Plus the cosmetics bag, of course. I also like the brands, especially Revlon, Illamasqua and Elemis, so I don’t mind the lower value.

The sneak peek for August’s beauty box is an exciting item and a makeup item nevertheless, the Ciate Glow-To Illuminating Blush in the shade Matchmaker. Of course, I’m sure it will be only a mini size, but I’m curious to try something from Ciate and a new blush is always a nice addition to my makeup collection.

Compared to last year’s July box, that one was better because it was almost double the value. We got then a full size Sleek liquid lipstick, a mini face serum, a blush brush (that I still use), a travel size body cream (that I liked), some hair and nails supplements and a travel size night cream from Madara.

Although it’s a step in the right direction considering the products that they have chosen, I just wish that the value would have been higher with this box. I can get a Revlon lipstick whenever I want and it’s not like it’s a new product, as for some of the products like the hair spray and the tanning mist, they could have put full size products in there because they have affordable prices.
