This was just a mini size that I got in my Lookfantastic beauty box, and I decided to take the serum with me on vacation, just to pamper myself in the evening you know, so now that I used it up, I must say it was an ok product but it didn’t blew me away.
Packaging:
The full size serum (30 ml) comes in a bottle with a pump, but the mini size came in a tube. Being a serum, I would have preferred the bottle with the pumpoption.
Texture:
The serum has a creamy milky texture and a light green color. It also has a little bit of a scent, but nothing too strong.
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water, Eau), Propanediol, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Gluconolactone, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Silica, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Zinc Pca, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum (Fragrance), Sodium Benzoate, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Levulinic Acid, Sucrose Palmitate, Maltodextrin, Sodium Levulinate, Citric Acid, Azelaic Acid, Bixa Orellana Seed Extract, Mandelic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Isostearate, Hydrolyzed Wheat Flour, Sodium Phytate, Glyceryl Linoleate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Sodium Chloride, Ci 77289 (Chromium Hydroxide Green), 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate, Glucose, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Potassium Chloride, Potassium Sorbate, Calcium Chloride, Magnesium Sulfate, Glutamine, Sodium Phosphate, Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Acetate, Tocopherol, Lysine Hcl, Arginine Hcl, Alanine, Histidine Hcl, Valine, Leucine, Threonine, Isoleucine, Tryptophan, Phenylalanine, Tyrosine, Glycine, Polysorbate 80, Serine, Cystine, Cyanocobalamin, Glutathione, Asparagine, Aspartic Acid, Ornithine Hcl, Glutamic Acid, Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide, Proline, Methionine, Taurine, Hydroxyproline, Glucosamine Hcl, Coenzyme A, Sodium Glucuronate, Thiamine Diphosphate, Retinyl Acetate, Inositol, Niacin, Niacinamide, Pyridoxine Hcl, Biotin, Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin, Sodium Tocopheryl Phosphate, Thiamine Hcl, Folic Acid
The serum contains some anti-acne ingredients such as niacinamide, zinc pca, azelaic acid and zinc gluconate. There are also some antioxidants in there (tocopheryl acetate, ascorbic acid, tocopherol and sodium tocopheryl phosphate), exfoliants (gluconolactone, lactic acid, mandelic acid and glycolic acid), skin brightening ingredients (niacinamide and ascorbic acid) and soothing ingredients (bisabolol, azelaic acid and zinc gluconate).
Price and accessibility:
The serum retails for around 60 euros, from what I can gather from various online shops. Filorga products are available here at Douglas stores and in several online shops. Like I said before, this is a high end skin care brand, but I can’t say that I would be willing to pay the high price tag for what the products do.
My overall opinion:
I liked the serum because it felt very soothing on the skin and because it’s designed for oily and combination skin, so it had a slight mattifying effect. It absorbs fast into the skin and it doesn’t feel sticky at all. For the anti-aging part, I can’t say much, because I used the mini size for only one week, but other than that, I liked the soothing and mattifying effect it had on the skin.
