CV (Cadea Vera) Face Masks review

On my vacation, I came across a chain of drugstores that I wasn’t familiar with, called Muller. Muller are similar to DM stores and they are also a German chain that is also present in Austria. They sell cosmetics, cleaning products, sweets, pet food, toys and some foods,, but mostly snacks and beverages, as well as dietary supplements.

I picked up a few CV masks to pamper myself while on vacation, but I also got to use them at home because each pack contains two applications. From what I can tell, CV is a brand exclusive to Muller drugstores, similar to Cien in Lidl stores or to Trend It Up and Balea in DM stores.

CV Clear Black Peel-Off Face Mask

Ingredients:

AQUA, ALCOHOL DENAT., POLYVINYL ALCOHOL, CAPRYLYL/CAPRYL GLUCOSIDE, SALICYLIC ACID, CHARCOAL POWDER, XANTHAN GUM, PARFUM, GLYCERIN, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, VACCINIUM MYRTILLUS FRUIT EXTRACT, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SORBIC ACID.

The face mask contains charcoal and salicylic acid. One pack contains 15 ml (2×7.5 ml). The mask is black and it’s applied on the face then it’s peeled off after 15 minutes. I didn’t like it because I think it was a little bit strong. It tucked my skin when I removed it and I had to pull hard to get it off which in turn left my face quite red.

The mask retails for 0.85 euros.

CV Almonds & Honey Face Mask

Ingredients:

AQUA, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL, GLYCERIN, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS OIL, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERYL STEARATE CITRATE, C12-15 ALKYL BENZOATE, HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE GLYCERIDES, MEL, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS FRUIT EXTRACT, GLYCOLIPIDS, PANTHENOL, TOCOPHEROL, PHENOXYETHANOL, XANTHAN GUM, PARFUM, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, LINALOOL, LIMONENE, SCLEROTIUM GUM, CITRIC ACID, PANTOLACTONE, BENZYL ALCOHOL, SODIUM BENZOATE, POTASSIUM SORBATE, GALACTARIC ACID.

One pack contains 15 ml (2×7.5 ml). It’s applied on clean skin and it can be removed after 15 minutes with a cosmetic pad. I personally prefer to wash it off because there is much product that is left and doesn’t get absorbed into the skin. This one felt nice on the skin and it had a soothing effect.

The mask retails for 0.45 euros.

CV Good Night Face Mask

Ingredients:

AQUA, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL, GLYCERIN, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, DECYLOLEATE, CETYL ALCOHOL, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS OIL, SALVIA OFFICINALIS LEAF EXTRACT, MELISSA OFFICINALIS LEAF EXTRACT, PANTHENOL, PHENOXYETHANOL, CETEARYL GLUCOSIDE, XANTHAN GUM, PARFUM, ALCOHOL, SODIUM CETEARYL SULFATE, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, TOCOPHEROL, PANTOLACTONE, SODIUM BENZOATE, LACTIC ACID, POTASSIUM SORBATE, CITRIC ACID

This is marketed as a sleeping mask, but like other face masks it doesn’t absorb into the skin, so the excess must be removed after 15 minutes. It leaves the skin plump and soft, but other than that, it doesn’t seem to do anything special. One pack contains 15 ml (2×7.5 ml).

The mask retails for 0.45 euros.

CV Vitamin C Shake Face Mask

For this one, I couldn’t find it on their website, but it’s a vitamin C mask that smells like oranges. It applies the same way as the others, b leaving it on for 15 minutes and then removing the excess. I liked it, but I think it would have been cooler to see and energizing effect. One pack contains 15 ml (2×7.5 ml).

The mask retails for 0.45 euros.

Bonus:

#be routine Pink Clay Face Mask

This is another brand that can be found only in Muller drugstores and I picked up only one pack.

Ingredients:

AQUA, KAOLIN, GLYCERIN, GLYCERYL STEARATE SE, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL, MONTMORILLONITE, SESAMUM INDICUM SEED OIL, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, MANGIFERA INDICA SEED BUTTER, ILLITE, PHENOXYETHANOL, HYDROXYACETOPHENONE, PALMITIC ACID, STEARIC ACID, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, PARFUM, QUARTZ, XANTHAN GUM, CI 77891, TOCOPHEROL, CI 77491, LACTIC ACID, CALCITE, BISABOLOL, LINALOOL, LIMONENE, GERANIOL, CI 77499.

This is a pink clay mask that has a mattifying effect on the skin without making it feel dry because it also contains moisturizing ingredients. I quite enjoyed the experience of using this face mask and now I’m sorry I haven’t gotten more. One pack contains 10 ml (one application).

The face mask retails for 0.95 euros.

Like I said, all these face masks are available only in Muller stores, so I can’t repurchase them. They’re cheap and even if they’re not the best at least they are great for a pampering ritual, doing a little self care, you know? My favorite was the pink clay mask and out of the CV face masks, I liked the almonds and honey one the best. I wouldn’t say you need to hunt these down, but if you happen to come across them, you can pick a couple of them up and see how you like them.
