I Love Revolution Fruity Blusher in the shade Strawberry review

I’m not the biggest fan of Revolution makeup (as this is a sister brand of Revolution Beauty), but I just couldn’t resist not picking up this blush because of its cute packaging, plus I love blushes and I seem to always find a place for another pink blush in my collection.

Packaging:

The blush comes in a pink plastic packaging with a clear lid and it contains 10.25 grams so it’s a rather generous size. The cardboard packaging is also cute because it’s pink and it has lots of strawberries on it.

Texture:

This is a powder blush that has three different shades that you can mix together. The main shade, which is a pink is matte and the other two are rather shimmery, so when you mix them together you obtain a glowy blush.

Ingredients:

Mica, Silica, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Glyceryl Caprylate. [+/- May Contain (Peut Contenir): Ci 15850 (Red 6), Ci 15850 (Red 7), Ci 15985 (Yellow 6), Ci 19140 (Yellow 5), Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide)]

Swatches:

There are no shades names, but as you can see, the shade on the left is the pink matte shade, the one in the middle is a shimmery bubblegum pink shade and the one on the right looks more like a pinky highlighter.

Price and accessibility:

I Love Revolution products are available in various stores and online shops even in my country. I got mine from a Bipa store at the price of 6 euros, but you can still find it on the Revolution Beauty website at a discounted price of 4 euros because there is only a limited quantity available.

My overall opinion:

The blush looks very cute and I also like the pink shades separately and mixed together. It is rather powdery and very soft, so you don’t have to dip your brush too hard into the pan or you’ll get powder everywhere. It does have a good color payoff so you don’t need much of it, but it’s also easily blendable, so it’s not a problem if you use a little bit too much. It doesn’t emphasize skin texture and it gives a rosy pink glow on the cheeks.

Considering that most Revolution makeup products are either ok-ish or duds, this one is a nice affordable blush that is worth the 4 euros or even the 6 euros that I paid for it and I don’t regret buying it. I don’t know if I will pick up some more of their products, but probably I’ll give in if I find something really cute on sale, because let’s admit it, it’s the packaging how they get you, even if it’s cheaply made.
