Used-up and tested #33 – beauty products leaving my collection

I can’t believe August is over, the summer is over, here the weather is already getting colder and I’m slowly transitioning into my autumn/winter wardrobe. I didn’t have that many empties this month because I also reviewed most of the products that I used, but I still did have a couple of things that I decluttered because I just didn’t want to use them anymore.

Nivea Flower Paradise LE Shower Gel

This was a limited edition shower gel that I wanted to try since I usually like flowery scents, but I have to admit that this one was not of my favorites. I like Nivea shower gels but this one had a strange scent, that was almost too sweet, even for my liking.

Nivea Exotic Dream LE Spray Deodorant

Also a limited edition was this deodorant from Nivea. It also contained alcohol which made my underarm area sting a little each time that I used it, so I wouldn’t recommend it. Also, the scent was also a weird combination between apricot and lemon that I wasn’t a big fan of.

Balea Find Me Under The Palmtrees Shaving Gel

This was a great shaving gel, it smelled like coconut and it was very gentle on the skin. It also has a very affordable price and I felt like my skin was smoother when I was using it as opposed to other shaving gels. I will certainly buy other Balea shaving gels because I think they are great and cheap so I don’t mind going quickly through them.

Ahava Smoothing Body Lotion

This was a mini size body lotion that I got in this month’s Lookfantastic box. It was just like any other body lotion, nothing special about it. It wasn’t sticky on the skin or anything like that, so it was ok, but it wasn’t something to write home about.

essence get BIG! lashes Volume Boost Mascara

I didn’t review this mascara on its own and now I used it up because I couldn’t decide if I like it or not. On one hand, it’s a decent mascara for the affordable price that it has, but I didn’t really see a volume boost, since I do have long lashes that need some extra volume. The formula was also not that great because sometimes the mascara was a little bit running, especially when it was hot and I was sweaty. essence has better mascaras than this, so this is not one of their hit products.

essence shine last & go! Gel Nail Polish in the shade 05 sweet as candy

This was a nail polish that I used a lot because it was a pale pink, almost white nail polish that was suitable for everyday use and it didn’t look that bad when I had a little chipping here and there. It was time to throw it away because it’s old, it’s halfway used and the formula just wasn’t good anymore. It was too thick and hard to apply in clean strokes.

Eyeko Galactic Lid Gloss in Zodiac

I just don’t like this liquid eyeshadow or eyeshadow topper, I don’t know what it wants to be. It’s too glittery and I don’t wear this type of eyeshadows. I don’t have any use for it, so it has to go.

Dr. Lipp 100% Natural Red Radish Tint

This was a lip tint that was actually a lip gloss. I used it up, but I wasn’t a big fan of the color and also I don’t lie lip glosses that are very sticky. It was not one of my favorite lip products and I don’t see it as something special, because it felt just like a cheap lip gloss on the lips.

Bubble T Rhubarb & Custard Bath Fizzer

This was better than the bath salts I tried from this brand but still not amazing. The bath fizzer looked cute and all and it made the water pink, but the scent was not that strong and I could feel it just in the beginning. For me, products like this are meant to enhance the entire bath experience and I use them to enjoy the scent. Since it wasn’t scented enough for my liking, it just gets an “ok” from me.

Skimono Radiance Recovery 4C Eye Mask

These eye patches looked somewhat cool and the serum is supposed to contain collagen, chamomile, cucumber, vitamin C and peptides. They were good for my weekly pampering session, but they are no different from other eye patches that I used before.

That was all for the products that I used up this month or that I decided to remove from my collection. I don’t expect September to bring any crazy changes in my daily routine, so there won’t be many products in my empties. Instead, I’m happy for the autumn season because I noticed in the last years I tend to enjoy the autumn/winter season more for some reason and I’m ready for all the cosy vibes.
