As someone with oily roots, I often rely on dry shampoo to buy myself another day until I have to wash my hair. I usually wash my hair every third day. I also like to use dry shampoo because it gives some extra volume to my fine hair.
This is the first product that I have used from the Aussie brand but I’ve heard about it from other blogs and YouTube channels. Like the name says, Aussie is an Australian brand that is cruelty free and is environmental-friendly during their manufacturing process. They also use Australian ingredients in their formulas that are sourced from family-owned farms. We love that, don’t we? The brand was established back in 1979 so they have some time in the industry.
Packaging:
The dry shampoo comes in a very colorful tin bottle that contains 180 ml.
Texture:
The shampoo comes out white when you first spray it on but it does apply very nice and it doesn’t take long to comb it through the hair without leaving a white cast behind. The scent is very nice, it’s fruity and it lingers in the hair.
Ingredients:
Alcohol Denatured, Butane, Propane, Isobutane, Tapioca Starch, Aqua, Silica, Parfum, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Propylene Glycol, Limonene, Benzyl Salicylate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Mangifera Indica Fruit Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Linalool, Coumarin, Lactic Acid, Phenoxyethanol
Price and accessibility:
I didn’t see Aussie products in stores, but I did find them in various online stores. I got mine from an online beauty outlet and I got it for only about 2 euros. I think usually it costs double the price, but it’s still very affordable.
My overall opinion:
Considering that from the brands of dry shampoos that I tried so far I didn’t like all because some of them made my scalp itchy or were leaving a white cast behind or they made my hair excessively dry, this one was one of the shampoos that I like. For me, it’s just as good as the Batiste shampoos, so next time I will be buying whichever comes at hand first, because they are both good and affordable dry shampoos. The bonus with Aussie is the great smell and the brand itself because they make me think of koala bears and kangaroos and I just love animals.
