Top 10 beauty products from the Lookfantastic beauty box in 2021

I did this top last year, so I thought it would be fun to make it again. This time it was easier to choose the products, because honestly the boxes were just not that good and I didn’t have so many products that I liked. This time, I also put them in order, starting with the least favorite to the top favorite product.

10.REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream

This was just a travel size that I got in May’s Lookfantastic box and it would have been a nice face cream, but it’s more for dry skin so I had to use it sparingly. I like the products I tried so far from REN, but not so much to include them in my skin care routine.

9.ESPA 24-Hour Replenishing Eye Moisturizer

Again a travel size product (7 ml) from this ESPA eye cream in June’s Lookfantastic box. I liked it, it was OK, but it didn’t blow me away. I wasn’t impressed with the ESPA products I tried in general and otherwise this would have been a forgettable product, but I had a hard time finding 10 products that I actually love.

8.SVR Hydraliane Legere Intense Moisturizing Cream

Honestly, it got a spot on the list because it was a full size face cream from January’s box. It was an ok cream, it’s supposed to be for sensitive skin but because I don’t have sensitive skin I didn’t notice anything special about it.

7.Lottie London Ombre Blusher

This is the only other makeup item on this list, that we got in this month’s box and it’s not even a full size. It’s a nice blush, I like it, and I would have included more makeup products but all we got this year were just very few makeup products, out of which many were eye or brow pencils. It’s a drugstore brand, but I can’t find it here in Romania, so I can’t try more products (I also have an eye pencil that I like).

6.Comfort Zone Hydramemory Cream Gel

This was another deluxe sample that I got in May’s box and I liked it because it has a lightweight texture and it felt very nice on the skin at the beginning of the summer. It didn’t have any special effects on my skin but it was nice.

5.Madara SOS Hydra Recharge Cream

I already knew I loved this brand because I discovered it last year through Lookfantastic. I got a travel size in February’s box and I really enjoyed it during the winter season because it was moisturizing and it was very nice on the skin without being too heavy.

4.Ciate Glow-To Illuminating Blush

The only other makeup product on this list is again a travel size of this blush. I really liked it and it’s in my top 3 favorite blushes so far because it’s like a combination between a blush and a highlighter. I was intrigued by this brand and I wish they would have given us more products from them.

3.Comfort Zone Renight Cream

Another Comfort Zone product on the list is this travel size night cream. I got it in last month’s box and I really enjoyed especially how it made my skin look in the morning. Comfort Zone is another brand that I’m intrigued about but they have expensive products, so I will remain with the memories from trying some of their products.

2.Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturizer

Elemis is another brand that I discovered through Lookfantastic and yet another too expensive one for my budget. I got this travel size primer/moisturizer in July’s box and I loved it. It looks like a perfecting face cream because it hides imperfections and it gives that “glow within” look that I just love. I had it with me on vacation, so I will always remember it for that.

1.Filorga Oxygen-Glow Super-Perfecting Cream

This deluxe sample that I got in October’s box was my absolute favorite product this year and I mean it. I know it’s just a face cream but I don’t know how it works or how it does but it makes my skin look perfect and it’s like having makeup on, or at least a CC cream or something so I loved it. I would definitely like to have it again, but who knows if I’ll be able to afford using Filorga products on regular basis.

So that’s all the products that I liked, you can probably tell from my list that there were plenty of face creams, eye creams and blushes (just two) in the boxes this year, so there weren’t many choices to make.

I would just add some honorable mentions for the By Terry Baume de Rose lip balm ( didn’t add it because it was on the list last year), for the Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick ( I like Revlon lipsticks but it such a common drugstore brand that I expected more from them) and the Christophe Robin Regenerating hair mask (it was the only hair care brand from the box that I enjoyed this year).

Now that I’m done with this subscription, I will purchase different beauty boxes now and then but only if it’s something that contains at least half of the products that I like or that I want to try, because otherwise, it’s really not worth it spending money on products that are just so-and-so, overpriced or simply boring.
