I must say day 17 was not one of my favorites regarding the advent calendars. In the essence DIY advent calendar I got a blush brush, which is actually very nice. I did need a new blush brush because I gave mine to my mom and I tried this one out and it applies the blush very nice. It could also work for bronzer or contour because of the angular shape. The brush is made with synthetic bristles, in China.
In the Balea advent calendar I found the first filler product so far, namely an exfoliating glove. I wouldn’t mind filler items, but I just know I won’t use these things so it will only lay around in the bathroom. The glove is also made in China.
In the Sinsay advent calendar I got a pair of red bow earrings which are very cute, but unfortunately I won’t be able to wear them because I’m allergic to the type of metal they used in the pieces of jewelry.

Day 18 was much better, especially since the Christmas week has started and I made sure I saved the best products for the final days of the DIY advent calendar.
In the Balea advent calendar I got a Magic Is In The Air hair serum. It’s one of those products that you leave on the hair without rinsing. Or to be more accurate, on the ends of the hair. I don’t know how they made the sizes for these products because the serum has 50 ml and the hair conditioner had only 20 ml (it lasted me for exactly two uses) and it would have made for sense to switch those around. Whatever. The serum has the same fruity scent like the shampoo and the conditioner, it’s vegan and is made in Switzerland.
In the essence DIY advent calendar I got the You Better Work! fixing powder which is translucent and it’s supposed to be waterproof and gym-proof. I think this line is already discontinued but I don’t remember ever trying a fixing powder from essence so I’m excited about this one. The powder has 9 grams and it’s made in Poland. There is also a little sponge inside, but no mirror, although the compact is made from a sturdy plastic.
In the Sinsay advent calendar I got yet another pair of earrings, this time ones with Christmas trees to match the necklace and the ring that I already have. I mean, they’re cute and all, but like I said, I can’t wear their earrings so that’s a shame.

Day 19 was a nice day, because I got only products that I like. In the Balea advent calendar was a Magic Is In The Air Aroma shower gel with “oriental Christmasy scent”. It smells like pine tree combined with some spices. I don’t mind that this is the third shower gel we got in the calendar because the shower gels are my most purchased products from the brand Balea and they’re known for their very diverse collections and limited editions. This one is also vegan, it contains 50 ml and is made in France.
In the essence DIY advent calendar I got a Crystal Power nail polish in the shade 02 Be Strong which is like a glittery rose-gold/champagne color. The Crystal Power collection was also a limited edition one and I actually like this nail polish it’s great for New Year’s Eve or for a party look (although I would wear it no matter the occasion). I also appreciate we only got 2 nail polishes because in the essence advent calendar I had two years ago there were like 5 or 6 mini nail polishes and this is a makeup advent calendar, not a nail polish one. The nail polish contains 8 ml, it’s vegan and is made in Luxembourg.
In the Sinsay advent calendar we got another pair of earrings, this time with a new design, with different colored sparkly stars. I really hate the fact that I can’t wear these earrings because I think they’re so cute!

Day 20 was another fun day with cute products. In the essence DIY advent calendar I got the third and final brush, a smudging brush. I really liked the other two brushes I got, so I think this one will be great as well. The brush is made in China.
In the Balea advent calendar I got a Magic Is In The Air face mask. I only had a sheet mask so far, but this one is a mask in a tube and it contains grapeseed oil, so I expect it to be very hydrating, perfect for the winter season. The mask contains 20 ml, it’s vegan and it’s made in Switzerland.
In the Sinsay advent calendar I got a star necklace which goes with bracelet and the ring we got so far. I think it’s really cute. I must say, I quite liked the design of the jewelry pieces. Too bad the quality was not as good.
This was all so far, the next time I’ll be doing a quick review it will be Christmas Eve! I can’t believe it, how did December fly by so fast?
