Especially Escada was a Christmas gift from my husband because I told him I wanted a floral perfume and he obliged. It’s the first perfume I have from this house and my only other encounter with Escada perfumes was when I received a free sample from some freebies website some years ago.

The perfume was launched in 2011 and it had Bar Rafaeli as its image. The creator of this perfume is Jean-Michel Duriez. It’s available in different sizes and I was lucky enough to receive the biggest one.

Packaging:

The perfume comes in a simple clear bottle with a large golden cap that forms the logo of the Escada house. Since the perfume itself is pink, I don’t mind the simple rectangular bottle. The cardboard packaging is also simple, just a pink box with golden writing on it. I have the 75 ml bottle. The perfume is made in Germany.

Fragrance notes:

Top notes are pear and musk mallow.

Middle notes are rose, ylang-ylang and water notes.

Base note is musk.

Price and accessibility:

Escada perfumes are available in many beauty stores as well as in online shops at the price of about 30 euros for the large bottle. It’s not a luxury perfume but it’s also not exactly a drugstore perfume price, so I would say it’s a mid-range perfume.

My overall opinion:

What I sense the most when I smell it and I wear it is the rose note which I don’t mind because I love rose perfumes. I would have liked more longevity, but for the price I think it’s ok. It’s not exactly a winter perfume, but I wear my perfumes according to my mood and not the season, so I don’t mind. It’s a classic, clean, floral scent, something I would wear on daily basis, but I would opt for something more with a punch for a night out in the town.

I can’t say that this perfume is something that I must have in my collection, but I like it enough to wear it. To be honest, I think it’s a forgettable scent, not something that I would make my signature scent since I didn’t receive any compliments when I was wearing it and that’s an indicator for me for how much of an impact it makes on the people around me. But just for my own pleasure, it’s a rose scent that I like to wear.
