I’m so tired of it being still January. It’s the sixth week of the year when we’re still in January. the holiday season already seems so far away but this first month just now comes to an end. And since everybody want to have restarts and new beginnings at the start of the year, I did search through my makeup collection and I decided to get rid of the makeup products that I don’t use anymore. I don’t own much makeup, but I want to use only the products that I truly enjoy, so it doesn’t make sense for me to try and push myself to use products that I don’t like that much but I just want to use up. So enough of that, now I got rid of them.

Let’s start with the bath and body products first.
Balea Soft Cookie shower cream – this one does have a yummy cookie scent and it does smell nice. I really enjoy Balea shower gels. They have such a wide range and they’re very affordable, so it’s a pleasure to use them.
Cien Caring Moments body lotion – this was unfortunately only a limited edition product. The lotion smelled like a combination of vanilla and caramel and I think it’s such a nice scent for the winter season. I wish they would sell it throughout the year or at least that I would have find it it Lidl stores more than just for a week because I would have bought more.
Bottega Verde Petagli DI Vaniglia liquid hand soap – I got this for Christmas from my sister-in-law. It was a very nice vanilla scented soap and it was gentle on the hands.
Avon Naturals Berry Cake scented body spray – this one was another one that I used as a room fragrance. It had a very nice cake scent, but it’s not really something that I would use on my body. The scent was much better than the gingerbread one because it didn’t feel as fake as that.
Sinsay Wonderland hand cream – it smelled like pine tree and it was a nice hand cream but I do have to say it felt a little bit greasy on the hands meaning I had to wait a little bit after using it before going on touching things.

I also got rid of two eyeshadow palettes from my collection, especially since I have enough eyeshadows as it is and I wear them rarely now. I’m going through one of my “natural makeup” phases.
The Soph X Revolution Extra Spice eyeshadow palette – I kept it for so long because I really liked the color story, but I just don’t enjoy the quality of Revolution Beauty eyeshadows and that’s why i don’t want to force myself any longer to use it.
Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party mini eyeshadow palette – this has just some basic colors in it and 4 pressed glitters that I absolutely hate (I don’t see the appeal of pressed glitters, really), so since I have it for two years and it just sits there, it’s time for it to go. I kept the large eyeshadow palette that I do enjoy and the face palette.

These are all the makeup face products that I decluttered from my collection.
Balea cover stick – this one is actually used up. It contains salicylic acid and it’s one of those old school acne covering sticks that I did use for red spots here and there. It wasn’t bad.
essence Hydrating + Perfecting primer – I got this in the essence DIY advent calendar and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised because it looks really nice on the skin. It’s blurring and illuminating and it doesn’t feel sticky on the skin. The problem was with the packaging because it has a dropper and the primer has a thick consistency so I just can’t get the product out to apply it, especially since I used a bit of it. This was a good product but with a bad packaging.
And now, here are all the blushed that I got rid of.
Douglas Pearls Harmony blush pearls – it doesn’t show up on the skin and it’s more glitter than color in it
BellaPierre mineral blush – I really liked the shade (Amaretto) and how it looks on the skin, but I can’t with loose powder products, I hate to apply them because I always manage to make a mess.
Ciate Glow-To Illuminating blush – this is one of my favorite brushed but the formula is so damn soft that the powder broke even without dropping the compact on the floor. I may have thrown it in my makeup drawer a couple of time, but I can’t see that as a reason enough for it to break. I don’t know hoe to repress powders and I don’t want to bother, so it has to go.

This is the batch of eye and lip pencils that I’m decluttering. the lip pencils all have to go because I just don’t like to use lip pencils and I have no use for them. I got them all in beauty box and advent calendars because I wouldn’t have bought them on my own.
Lord & Berry eye pencil – this one is just too short know and I can’t hold it well when I use it so it’s time for it to go. It was just a travel size one to begin with.
Lord & Berry lip pencils – I have two of the same shade, both from the Lookfantastic box.
Douglas Collection lip pencil
essence lip pencil
Diego dalla Palma lip pencil
Annemarie Borlind lip pencil

The last two of my Fraulein makeup brushes have to go now. One is a stippling foundation brush that I don’t use because I like to use my hands to apply foundation or a makeup sponge. The other is a smudging brush that I replaced now with one I have from essence and I like it more.
That’s it, that’s all the products that have to go. There were more than usual, but like I said, January is also a looong month.
