It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of essence products because they are really good affordable products (for the most part at least). I saw this concealer as a part of a limited edition which I hope they do make permanent because products for sensitive skin are something that many people need. This concealer doesn’t contain fragrance, alcohol, silicone, parabens or mineral oil, it’s non-comedogenic and it’s cruelty free and vegan, so what else would you want, right? I did love my Maybelline concealer but once I used it up I wanted something even more affordable because I do use concealer every day so it’s something that I use up rather fast.
Packaging:

The concealer comes in a plastic tube and it has a slim wand, but it’s quite flexible so I found it very easy to apply not only in the under eye area but also for spot concealing on the face. The tube contains only 3.5 ml, but give the affordable price I do think it’s worth it.
Texture:
The concealer has a very light texture and a matte finish, so it’s not for illuminating, it’s for covering up redness and dark circles. It has medium coverage but it’s buildable and it doesn’t crease.
Ingredients:
AQUA (WATER), ISONONYL ISONONANOATE, COCONUT ALKANES, GLYCERIN, TRIETHYLHEXANOIN, MAGNESIUM SULFATE, POLYGLYCERYL-4 DIISOSTEARATE/POLYHYDROXYSTEARATE/SEBACATE, DIISOSTEAROYL POLYGLYCERYL-3 DIMER DILINOLEATE, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE, STEAROYL INULIN, PROPYLENE CARBONATE, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, HYDROGENATED LECITHIN, MAGNESIUM OXIDE, ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE, ALUMINA, PHENOXYETHANOL, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SODIUM BENZOATE, CI 77491 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77492 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE).
I like the aloe vera leaf juice in here because it’s soothing and it’s good against redness. Other than that, it’s fragrance free and it feels very comfortable applied in the under eye area.
Price and accessibilty:
essence products are available in DM stores and in plenty of online shop. This concealer is usually sold for around 3 euros, so it’s really a bargain.
My overall opinion:
I think it does a great job in the under eye area because it covers without creasing, but for spot concealing, I find that it does look a little caked up. The shade range is also not that great as I think there are only 3 shades available and none of them seems suitable for dark skin, but unfortunately that seems to be common for essence products. The shade range is usually small and it certainly doesn’t cover all skin tones.
Luckily for me, I’m white as a ghost so the lightest shade was a good match for me. I like that it doesn’t look like I have concealer on and it does a good job at covering dark circles (if they aren’t particularly bad), that it’s very comfortable for the eyes, that it’s vert affordable and easily to obtain.
In other words, it’s not my holy grail product because I wouldn’t have mind to see some light reflecting properties here to make the eyes appear brighter, but it’s something that I would repurchase again or at least I would try other concealers from this brand.
