I still don’t have my acne under control but at least I try to use products that don’t make me look greasy during the day so that’s why I decided to give it a go with this face cream. I find that what works best for me is a mattifying face cream in the morning and a more moisturizing face cream in the evening so that’s what I’m doing right now.
Packaging:
The face cream comes in a glass jar with a plastic lid and it contains 50 ml, just like most face creams. I like the white and green design, it’s simple, clean and it has a nice weight to it because it’s not made of some cheap plastic.
Texture:

Most mattifying creams have a gel texture or at least a lighter texture, but this one feels like a regular face cream. It does have some fragrance in it but it’s very subtle and I usually don’t get irritated from fragrance so I don’t mind it.
Ingredients:
Aqua, Homosalate, Glycerin, Octocrylene, Ethylhexyl salicylate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Ethylhexyl Isononanoate, Potassium cetyl pshosphate, Propylene Glycol, Cetyl Alcohol, Colloidal oatmeal, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Silica, Caprylyl Glycol, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Glyceryl Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Tromethamine, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl/Taurate Copolymer, Parfu, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Isohexadecane, Acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, Hexylene Glycol, Tetrahydrodiferuloylmethane, Polysorbate 60, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tetrahydrodemethoxydiferuloylmethane, Tetrahydrobisdemethoxydiferuloylmethane, Glycol, Salix Alba Leaf Extract, Hydrolized rice protein, Hydrolized wheat protein, Pentylene
The key ingredients listed on the packaging are the willow leaf extract and the rice extract, but they are so far down the ingredients list that I don’t know how much of a difference they make. There is also sunscreen in here, shea butter, colloidal oatmeal (an exfoliator) and hydrolized wheat protein, as well as a couple of antioxidants. Let’s just say the formula isn’t great but it’s also not the worst I’ve seen.
Price and accessibility:
The face cream is available only through Avon consultants and it’s sold for around 5 euros, which is an affordable price for a face cream.
My overall opinion:
While I wasn’t blown away by this face cream, I appreciate the fact that it is mattifying without actually drying up the skin, which something rather common with this type of products. I’m also not that thrilled about the formula because I would have liked to see more natural ingredients in here and they are higher on the ingredients list. This is just my personal opinion, I don’t necessarily want all natural ingredients in my face products but I like to see that there are many fruit and plant extracts. I don’t know if I will repurchase it, but it’s a decent face cream that I would just rate as so-and-so. It does what it says because it’s mattifying and it has some SPF in it, but that all the good things I can say about it.
