Avon Far Away Aurora EDP review

I wanted to get this perfume because I had a simple and I found it to be quite long-lasting. So, I got a set with the perfume, a purse perfume and a body lotion, but now, after going through half of the bottle, I must say I changed my mind about it.

Packaging:

The packaging is similar to all the Far Away perfumes, a round bottle with a tassel on the cap. I like the slight iridescent bottle, but otherwise, it does look cheap and it feels cheap. the glass bottle is very light, the cap is made of a thin plastic and that tassel honestly looks like crap. I know it’s not an expensive perfume, but still…. The bottle contains 50 ml.

Top notes: cardamon, pink pepper and Italian lemon

Middle notes: yogurt, water lily and rose

Base notes: bourbon vanilla, cedar and vetiver

Price and accessibilty:

Far Away Aurora is available for purchase only though Avon consultants and it’s sold for about 15 euros, which is a very affordable price for a perfume.

My overall opinion:

Despite all the notes listed above, all I can smell is the vanilla. Which is not a bad thing because I like vanilla-scented perfumes but after wearing it for a while I think it’s too sweet and it’s lacking a fresh note for balance. It’s quite long-lasting, so I’ll give it that. I think it’s a nice perfume for people who really really like vanilla, but for me it’s just too sweet to the point when it feels a little bit…sickening, so that’s why this is not a perfume that I would repurchase.
