This face mask was part of a gift set I go together with a face cream from the same line. I won’t mention again what the main ingredients are in this line, so let’s go right for the review.
Packaging:
The face mask comes in a tube that contains 100 ml. It has the same nice reddish and beige colors like the rest of the products from the line.
Texture:
This is one of the weirdest peel off masks I used because it has a more liquid texture than the usual gooey and sticky one that masks of this type have. I can only apply small amounts of the product on the face because it’s so runny and it also takes some time to dry on the skin so it can be peeled off. It’s one of those really black masks which is funny and cool at the same time.
Ingredients:
Aqua, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Alcohol Denat., Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Charcoal powder, PEG-75 Lanolin, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Polyglyceryl-10 stearate, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Polyglycerin-10, Phenoxyethanol, Glyceryl Laurate, Glycogen, Acrylates / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Triethanolamine, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium dehydroacetate, Citric acid, BHT
It contains glycerin, as a skin-identical ingredient, charcoal powder (abrasive ingredient), BHT (antioxidant) and they say on the packaging that it also contains natural clay, which I suppose it’s the Magnesium Aluminium Silicate, which is a common ingredient in all the products of the Mineralactiv line.
Price and accessibilty:
Farmec products are available in the brand’s online shop, in several stores, pharmacies and supermarkets. This face mask is sold for about 4.5 euros on the brand’s website, so I think it’s a fair and affordable price for a nice peel off mask.
My overall opinion:
Honestly , I don’t know if peel off masks in general do anything for the skin, because they all form some sort of film that is supposed to remove dead skin and other nasty stuff from the skin, but the ingredients they contain are usually a let down.
This face mask in particular is nice and I use it once a week because I noticed it does a great job at removing blackheads on my nose and it also works great in the T-zone. Therefore, I would say it’s worth it. I do have to stay for at least 15 minutes with it on to be able to remove it, but it’s one of the nicer peel off masks that I used so far. Also, it’s just so satisfying to remove that mask layer from the face.
