Used-up and tested #40 – beauty products leaving my collection

It’s been two months since I done one of these posts, so now I have quite a few beauty products in my empties bin. These are the products I used up in the months of May and June and I grouped them together by categories, because I don’t want this to be a needlessly long blog post.

Shower gels

Cien Pampering Body Wash with Cocoa Butter – it was nice and creamy but the scent was really not my cup of tea. Like cocoa but somewhat overly sweet.

Fa Explore Umuhei Ritual shower gel – a flower-scented shower gel with Tamanu oil. It was really nice and had an exotic scent, perfect for the summer. Fa shower gels in general are cheap and they are quite nice.

Luksja Marshmallow Shower Gel – a limited edition shower gel that smells like cotton candy. It’s more like a shower cream, it lathers up very well and it does have a yummy scent. Out of the three, this one I liked the most.

Perfumes and body sprays

Guess Body Spray – nothing spectacular, just a forgettable fruity scent in my opinion.

Avon Encanto Fascinating Body Spray – I expected a fresh summer scent, but it was more floral. Nice, but also forgettable.

Avon Imari Corset EDT – this one was a more sensual, seductive scent, but the longevity was also not great (at the cheap price what can you expect?)

Out of all the three, Imari Corset was my favorite, then Encanto Fascinating and the Guess one was the last.

Deodorants

Fa Invisible Fresh anti-perspirant – with Lily of the Valley scent. It wasn’t a nice scent it was also not so great as a deodorant, at least not for my sweaty arm pits.

Cien Nature Organic Citrus Deo Roll-On – it had a nice lemon scent but it did absolutely nothing as a deodorant and it’s definitely not a good pick for hot summer days.

Farmec Gerovital H3 Evolution Pearl Woman deodorant – I had two of these travel sized deodorants and I hated the scent. I’m sorry to say but Farmec really don’t know how to do nice perfumes. Their perfumes and deodorants smell like old lady stuff from the 1940’s.

I didn’t like any of these and I will avoid them in the future.

Various empties

Avon Nutraeffects Micellar Water for sensitive skin – it was an ok micellar water and it didn’t irritate my eyes, but it didn’t do a good job at removing my eye makeup.

Avon Advance Techniques Dry Shampoo – I liked it and it had a very nice citrus scent, but I can get Batiste or Balea dry shampoos for cheaper and they’re just as good.

Eveline Cosmetics Sweet Coconut hand cream – a very nice hand cream with a yummy scent.

Doterra Tropical lip balm – it was good as a lip balm because it did feel very comfortable on the lips but I just can’t get over the scent of essential oils. It was a gift so I used it, but I wouldn’t purchase it on my own.

Face masks and samples

Eveline Cosmetics Delicious Mint & Chocolate face mask – it was a nice face mask and it did have a very yummy smell.

Marion Neon Vibes Antioxidant Peel-Off Mask – it’s the same as the blue one I use din the past, but this one is purple. I think peel-off masks are more fun than actual useful.

Farmec Gerovital H3 Evolution Anti-aging Cream – I got this as a sample when I placed an order on the Farmec website. I can’t tell anything about it’s benefits because I used it only once, but it was a too heavy cream for my skin type.

Nail products

Lastly, I have two nail products that are not empty but I am decluttering them.

Nails Inc. nail polish in the shade Mayfair Lane – it’s too pale for my liking and a little bit streaky because of that.

Avon All-In-1 BB Nail Color – this is supposed to be a colored nail base and I used half of it, but I don’t like that the color does show a little through and it changes the colors of the nail polishes I apply on top.

Phew! That was a long one! Considering that I’m going on vacation next month and I probably won’t take the time to try out some new stuff, we’ll see when the next empties post will be.
