Used-up and tested #41 – beauty products leaving my collection

July was a really slow month for my blog because I was on vacation for two weeks, plus I was really burned out after finishing my exams (I finally got my bachelor’s degree this year so yay!), so I didn’t have the time or the mood to write.

I also don’t have many empties because I used the same stuff and there weren’t any new products to talk about asides from the CeraVe cleanser and the Avene cream that I reviewed separately. So, these are just the few empties I do have to talk about.

Shower gels

Oriflame Love Nature Playful Strawberry hair and body wash – I know it’s a kids’ product, but I used it as a shower gel because of the yummy strawberry scent. It was ok, but it didn’t produce as much foam as I wanted to, probably because it’s something aimed towards children.

Balea Tropic Fantasy shower gel – summer limited edition with papaya and mango scent, I liked it like I do with all Balea shower gels.

Body creams

Avon Far Away Aurora body lotion – the last product from the Far Away Aurora set I got a while ago. It was a light body lotion, which was ok for the summer.

Cien Cocoa body butter – it was a rich body butter, it felt nice on the skin but I wasn’t a fan of the sickening sweet cocoa scent, very much similar to a cocoa shower cream I had from Cien in the past. It was a big jar as well, so it lasted me for a while.

Deodorants

Lactovit Lactourea spray deodorant – I liked it because it doesn’t contain alcohol and it’s very gentle on the skin, but it also doesn’t do a great job as a deodorant.

Fa Pink Passion spray deodorant – same as the Lactovit one, it doesn’t do a great job as a deodorant, but I liked the pink rose scent. I used it mostly at home, when I knew I wasn’t going to be very sweaty.

Hair care products

Cien Professional keratin heat protection spray – it was ok I guess, I used it when I blow dried my hair, but I can’t say that it made my hair shinier or silkier or anything like that.

Balea volume hair spray – it doesn’t do anything, I gave up using it halfway through because it made my hair feel sticky and it got oilier faster, which doesn’t seem like something that a volumizing spray should do.

Skin care products

Balea coconut and dragon fruit face mask – it contains two sachets for two uses. I had a couple of these and they were ok as basic moisturizing face masks. Just something for a little pampering on the weekends.

Balea acne patches with salicylic acid – I’ve gone through a couple of packs of these and I have a few more in my stash. A packet contains 36 patches and they’re really cheap, like 1.5 euros a pack. They’re working for red pimples, white heads and so on. They’re also transparent and I like to put them on in the evening and sleeping with them. They’re great and I will repurchase them for sure.

So these were all my empties for the month of July. I don’t think there will be many updates for the rest of the summer, but I will do empties every 1-2 months, depending on how many products I have to talk about.
