Opening my 2022 Yves Rocher advent calendar days 1-4

So, this year I chose to get the Yves Rocher advent calendar because I saved the bonus code I received from them for my birthday, so I got the calendar for 40% off. The calendar was sold for around 70 euros, which is not outrageous, but it is a hefty price tag. I got it for around 45 euros, which was still pricey for me, but I liked the beautiful colorful design of the box and since it’s a mixture of skin care, bath products, hair care and makeup items, I thought it would be something interesting. There are a few classic favorites in there, some new products (new to me) and some limited edition ones, so I’m hoping that in the end it will be all worth it.

Like I said, the design of the calendar is beautiful. There are little cardboard boxes and they are all arranged into a larger cardboard box with the same colorful golden design with the moon, the sun and the stars. For little wonders, so to say.

Day 1 – Soothing foam face mask with organic Chamomille

This is the mini size mask, which can also be found for sale as it is. The tube contains 30 ml and it’s sold for around 4 euros. It has a light Chamomille scent and a light yellow color. It feels like a foam on the skin, but it has to be removed after 10-15 minutes, because it doesn’t fully absorb into the skin. It does have a nice soothing effect.

Day 2 – Milky almonds hand cream

This is a limited edition product from the holiday collection of this year. It’s also the mini size (30 ml) and it’s also sold for around 4 euros. It has a yummy scent and it feels very nice on the hands without being sticky. Plus, the design of the tube is very cute.

Day 3 – Wonderful shea ultra rich shower cream

This is the first product I have a bone to pick with. It’s also part of the holiday collection, it smells wonderful and it does feel like a nourishing cream on the skin, but…just 30 ml? That’s just a sample size, not even a mini size. Obviously, this is not sold in such a small tube, but in a larger 200 ml one for 6 euros, so the sample size is worth just around 1 euro (0.90 euros to be more precise). And for a more expensive advent calendar, I think that it is too little.

Day 4 – Pure algue 2 in 1 makeup removing micellar water

This was another sample size in my opinion, because it contains only 50 ml. I know the makeup removers from Yves Rocher are very good, so I expect this one to be good as well, but only 50 ml? The micellar water is sold in 200 ml and in 400 ml tubes. The 200 ml tube is sold for around 8 euros, so the sample size is worth 2 euros.

So far, I like all the products, but I think there were really small sizes for the shower cream and the micellar water. So far, the first 4 products are worth 11 euros, so I’m curious to see what the next surprises are.
